This drive is fantastic for photo editing. 500gb is plenty to work with for editing photos, especially if you don't hoard pictures. I have used it with my MacBook and my Windows computers and files transfer smoothly across the two. The drive is surprisingly quick, with my only stutters occuring with large amounts of large files. So far, it has been a reliable product, and I hope it will stay that way for the next few years. Overall, I would reccomend!

When I started using, it hit all the specs it promised. On my third usage it dropped write speed by 90%. It ended up that data portable hdd cable failed. I put one of my old hdd cables on it, and it is back to specs. Hdd cable is cheap. The storage space, and read/write speeds @ this price is priceless!
