Works like a charm
Use this to move a 13 foot travel trailer into and out of my garage, which is at a decent angle (~ 3% grade). It is not hard to install correctly and is quite secure - just follow the directions (watch a you tube video if you still don't understand). Makes easy work of moving, steering, and stopping. The brake function is easy to use and is secure - makes it easy to take a break and check the sides, as the clearance is pretty tight. Sometimes the drive wheel slips a bit when going uphill - I find that putting a little upward pressure on the brake/steering handle makes it grab pretty easy. Haven't tried out the drill bit attachment yet - the hand crank gets the job done. Very well built and sturdy - I expect many years (hopefully decades) of service from this neat little trailer dolly. Would definitely buy again.

Too Good To Be True - It Doesn't Work
I was hoping this would help us more easily get our 23' wake boat into its storage area. We are able to get the boat perfectly lined up and partway in with the truck, before we run out of cranking room in the offset approach. All the Trailer Valet XL had to do was push the trailer straight back less than 10 feet on clean and flat pavement. It didn't work. The Trailer Valet XL had a hard time pushing or pulling the trailer on the flat pavement, and absolutely could not push the trailer wheels over a less than 1" ridge where the cement pad met the pavement. We tried everything - making sure the trailer brakes were locked out, purchasing a new corded high-torque drill, using the hand crank, etc. The tires would just slip on the pavement, the unit would bind up, etc. Even adding weight on the tongue didn't help. We ended up just pushing it by hand with a couple of people, no problem doing it by hand - I was just hoping the Trailer Valet would be a one person solution and remove the dependency on having people around. This brings us to the heart of the matter - the energy and time expended with the Trailer Valet XL is probably more than just doing it another way. If you can't do it by hand, it is unlikely that the Trailer Valet will be able to do it effectively either. The Trailer Valet XL might work on a small light trailer, but only on flat pavement, and nowhere near its rated capacity - it might hold something bigger, but it won't move it effectively based on my hours of trying to get it to work. Traction with the small rounded tires seems to be the biggest issue for heavier trailers, as well as some issues with ratcheting and binding every now and then inside the unit. It's a good thought, but like everything else that seems too good to be true, it fails in its implementation.

this thiing works great!
it's made well, everything works as advertised. If you are moving a trailer on a smooth, level surface it works great, but if you're like me, moving an empty car hauler up an incline in rough terrain, it's still going to require some strength and a few pieces of plywood to get past the holes and bumps, but it saves me from backing the trailer AND the truck into my back yard. WARNING: if you engage the brake, with your hand still on the drill, it WILL violently twist your wrist. Be careful of dips and bumps that the TRAILER WHEELS are going over suddenly raising and lower the trailer tongue, cause that's when you let go of the handle and it tries to rip your wrist off.

it does the job
Keep in mind I have a 7400 pound camper. The good: 1. it does move the camper 2. it does work on inclines 3. the internal brake is great The annoyances: 1. the drill attachment does not move the camper at all. you have to use the crank and it is a workout. I have a dewalt 20V max drill 2. the internal brake can become annoying when using the crank because while using the crank my other arm will move low enough to engage the brake 3. while it does work on inclines i experienced multiple times when the dolly looses traction and the camper slides backwards. i got around this by having my spouse sit on the trailer hitch area and when that wasn't enough i stepped on the dolly itself and that got it the traction it needed to move the camper 4. i wasn't able to change the direction i was moving on the fly. for example after i was finished turning the camper 180 degrees i needed to start backing it up and i couldn't turn the dolly to be able to do that. i had to drop the trailer jack first, then adjust the dolly, then lower the camper back onto the dolly 5. this thing sucks on grass and dirt. put down plywood pieces and it's manageable 6. while the internal brake is great especially on inclines if you don't grab the crank first before releasing the brake the crank will spin very rapidly and it hurts to stop it. 7. i wish the crank handle was big enough for two hands. having that would have made going up my incline easier 8. if your camper is on dirt and it's sunk into the dirt even a little bit, the dolly will not move the camper even when the dolly is on plywood 9. even on asphalt if there is dirt or leaves underneath the wheel of the dolly it will loose traction and not move the camper

A big headache
Maybe it was me, but I don't think so. When I watched the video for the valet on you tube it looked like the easy answer to moving my camper. In reality the thing is VERY heavy 50 lbs+. The collar would only tighten so far , leaving a lot of play when the full weight of the camper was placed on it, making it very scary; trying to muscle and balance the weight of the camper on my own.The lock/ release handle was fussy, locking and unlocking at the wrong moment, causing frustration. I supposed I should have used the drill bit feature, as the high and low gear cranks were exhausting and would move only a short distance with a lot of effort. Also the crank handle went spinning when I was cranking the camper up a slight grade, bruising my hand and making me again feel unsafe and out of control with this contraption. On the the plus side, the customer service lady was sympathetic and offered that the product may have been defective, based on what I had described to her and asked me to take a picture and send it to her, But I was on vacation and fed up and began the return to Amazon already. Maybe this works for others, but not for me.

Great piece of equipment for perfect driveway
If you have a paved driveway with little to zero slope, this thing is a godsend. The YouTube video the company put out demonstrating a slope is unrealistic. An average driveway has maybe a couple feet elevation difference, and this tools WILL push the trailer up, but it is difficult and you need someone to chock the wheels. If you have dirt or gravel, forget it. I tried once on dirt, with a piece of plywood underneath. The trailer Valet produces so much torque that it just moves the plywood. That said, if you have a paved driveway with minimal slope, this thing is awesome, but caveat emptor

Great depending on your needs.
I wanted to be able to move our popup trailer in and out of our single door side of our garage by myself without getting help pushing it up the slight incline of our driveway and this works wonderfully for that. It seems to be a really well made product that should last a long time if used and maintained as designed. No motor to wear out or break plus no heavy additional battery to connect. Since the one we bought uses the ball hitch, there's no additional frame mounting points either. You either use the included hand crank or a drill attachment to move it. There's plenty online videos that show how it is used. I love it and would buy it again but your needs may be different than mine.

Broke my trailer
I hate it. The tires suck and don't have traction. They have a narrow contact patch and aren't very grippy. They spin trying to go up my driveway. The second time I used it the Trailer Valet broke the coupling on my trailer. I'm pissed that I wasted $750 and I'm just past the return date. Now I'm out the money for this useless contraption and the cost of my trailer repairs. I had the Trailer Valet tightened against the bottom of the coupling like you're supposed to, and when it hit the lip at the bottom of my driveway, it bent up the front of the coupling, the trailer popped off and slammed on the ground. It almost hit me and my family. Thanks for ruining my day. I talked to Trailer Valet. They told me I bought the wrong unit. I'm not about to go buy another unit after what has happened. They suggested I buy a different bracket. I will update if this transpires. If you do decide to get one of these definitely talk with them first and make sure you get the right unit for your application. If your unhappy with the unit don't expect them or Amazon to take it back.

Quick and easy!
Received quickly! Tried it out today with my 6x14 enclosed cargo trailer. I was easily able to turn my trailer around and up my driveway. My driveway is stone pavers and on about a 5 degree incline...no problem at all! Great device. Thanks!

Does work but room for improvement.
Bought this to pull a 22" boat.boat and trailer under the recommended max weight. This device can damage your trailer hitch from the lateral force placed on your hitch. I can see it working for a lighter trailer.the ease of use is just ok.it takes some practice to operate the forward movement while trying to steer and keeping the break on the device from engaging. The handle has to be lifted past the 90⁰ angle quite a bit in order to disengage the break on the wheels.makes it ockward to use.

Delivered on time and without damage.
There is tons of material on the trailer valet website. Pay close attention on how to use this product and where use is not recommended. No assembly required but I did have to tighten the ball into the valet assembly, so be prepared to have a large wrench available for that purpose. The drill adapter was included as advertised.

Great little tool.
Impressed with the speed of the delivery. Like the ease of set up. Disappointed that it wouldn't move out trailer up the driveway.
