Women's Metropolis Parka III - Medium Grey Heather

Warm, cute, below the knee length coat. I live in snow 6+ months a year and this jacket does the trick. Stains wash out well also!

Light, comfortable, warm, I will wear it in early spring. The size is right, it fits my figure perfectly.

The coat is exactly what I needed and as described. The hood snaps off and on and can also be adjusted easily. Sleeve have elastic around the wrist but easily fits over thick gloves. Hood can fit over thick stocking cap. Zipper is adjustable from bottom and does not hinder driving comfort. However, its such a warm jacket that I had to open my window to cool off. Customer service was exceptional. I had an issue with the currier delivering to another address, they were honest and delivered it to me. I contacted the seller immediately to which they replied in less than 24 hours as well as helping me find it. Would do business agin with this seller.

The jacket feels great as it is lightweight and warm, very well made. However, the logo is hideous. Not sure why the logo has to be white, good only for sports but not stylish for everyday wear. I was looking for ways to remove it but thought it is not worth the hassle and returned.

I originally purchased this coat elsewhere in another color but did not wear it because the material inside would peek out a little bit. This was a common complaint amount buyers of this coat. In the lighter color, I have not had this issue. I also went up a size to have extra arm room when wearing thick sweaters or sweatshirts in the winter. I am not sure why The North Face thinks all women have super skinny arms. The price was also very reasonable so that made this a great purchase. Versatile style means that I can wear this with a dressy or casual outfit.

I’m 5'7" and around 135lbs. I usually buy a medium in this brand. Since this coat is slim fit I decided to order a large so I could comfortably wear a sweater in the cold weather. Unfortunately the large was tight across my shoulders and chest just wearing a light sweatshirt underneath. I returned it for the XL which fits great on top but is wider from the chest down. Other than the fit, the jacket is great, it’s warm and light weight.

Is it very clear that North Face cut costs on elements of this jacket that are considered tried and true by Metropolis loyalists like myself. This is the 3rd Metropolis I've bought in the last 10-15 years. This jacket generally withstands the test of time and I've been lucky not to have needed to buy a new one until about every 5ish years roll around. Unfortunately with this Metropolis III iteration, the hood is TERRIBLE. The zipper is cheap. The feathers won't stop peaking out and coming out. The last two jackets I had were perfection and worth every penny. This one is an anomaly. I did a lot of research of reviews online and everyone seems to say the same thing-- the snaps on the hood are SO bad (they are plastic now, not metal as they used to be) and you simply cannot even hang the coat, hold the cost by its hood, or PUT THE HOOD ON without the snaps coming out. It's like you whisper on the hood's snaps and it immediately detaches. I called North Face Customer Service and all they told me to do it mail the jacket back to their warranty department to assess. This isn't even an answer on what they will do, if they'll do it, and when I'll get my jacket back. It's December. Why would I ship it back in the middle of winter? And, exactly what are you going to do? Replace the snaps? Doubtful without you ruining the integrity of the jacket. Really, incredibly disappointing for how much money I spend on these jackets. I will be buying LL Bean in the future. Please stay far away from this version of the Metropolis.

Oh I love this coat. It’s soft and warm, the two way zipper is SO CONVENIENT for driving/sitting. It literally feels like I am wearing a cloud when I out it on. The cinchers for the hood are AMAZING.
