This heavily aged oval mirror creates an artistic statement especially suitable in a rustic or cottage setting. The 14-by-12-inch antique frame is painted an old cream and is heavily crackled to reveal a dark undercoat. The four charming floral embellishments add to the mirror's appeal. The beaded ring next to the mirror glass has a few gaps as a result of the frame's authentic age. I've applied clear and dark waxes to emphasize the cracking and occasional chipping on the frame's surface. The mirror glass is new and provides a clear reflection. With its dramatic aging, this mirror frame offers an attractive touch to any French, country, rustic or shabby decorative style.
