A great solution for cooking poached eggs quickly and cleanly
After getting a little frustrated with a poaching pan which was fiddly to use and time consuming to wash-up, I was looking for a quick alternative to cooking my poached eggs. I gave these a try and have been convinced ever since! Once you get the hang of using them, they do they job nicely. Firstly, when cracking the eggs - make sure you have the 'bag' over a small cup and then transfer over to the pan. I usually like the yolk a bit runny so would recommend cooking for 4 mins of a medium to high heat with a quick stir mid way. Transferring eggs onto a plate look some getting used to, as water can collect in bags too - so my solution is to place them onto some kitchen towel and then remove from bag before placing on plate. Really like these and now i have my routine will stick with them.

I would be lost without them as they're not just for soft poached eggs.
Would never go back to any other means of poaching eggs. I've also discovered a great way of getting them out of the pan safely. I tip the pan through a colander and then I can take the pouches off and it doesn't matter if the eggs come out while I'm doing it. I can then put the drained eggs directly on top of toast or add them to smoked haddock and boiled rice to make kedgeree with mayonnaise, you just poach them for a little bit longer unless you like them very soft. No more picking shell off hot eggs when making kedgeree or egg sandwiches.Oh it's just a brilliant invention.

Great,with a little practice!
Tried these as I like poached eggs (when I am at a hotel, B&B etc.) but can never make them myself. Open the egg shaped pouch from the non-pointy end; don't do what I did and ripped the first pouch! Little practice and their great. I can now enjoy poached eggs anytime! Tip - as someone else said: use a sandwich bag clip to keep the pouch upright in the boiling water (or you will lose most the egg in the water). Fair enough. Ensure your clip is not plastic or, like mine, it will melt!

I really recommend these as the best way to produce the perfect ...
There are 20 pouches in each bag by the way - i.e a total of 40 (I just thought it a little ambiguous). Having said that.....I really recommend these as the best way to produce the perfect poached egg......and I speak as someone who has a kitchen drawer full of discarded egg poachers of every kind that I have tried over the years! We don't have a branch of Lakeland locally, which is where I originally bought them, and so I will be ordering these regularly now :)

Poached egg bags
Very fiddly and have to put eggs in bags and place in water together you have to stand bag in container to crack egg into and I found they started to leak egg white so have to be quick also water gets in the bad so have to very carefully drain before putting on plate. Non reusable have gone back to poaching pan much easier and safer
