Best liner for the money
(3-month update has been added below ) We purchased this pond liner with high hopes — and wow, it absolutely delivered! The material is strong, reliable, and surprisingly easy to work with. Yes, it’s a bit stiff, but that’s exactly what makes it durable, and it never slowed us down. Our pond is 8' wide x 14' long x 5.5' deep, and we still had more than enough liner to work with. After filling, it’s been holding water perfectly — not a single drop lost. I’ve even walked on it while working inside the pond with zero issues. Plants are already acclimating beautifully, and when the temperatures drop in late September, we’ll bring the fish in. Landscaping is still on the to-do list, but as for the liner — we love it and recommend it without hesitation. Update (9/30/25): We installed this liner back in early July, and months later it’s still flawless. The pond looks incredible and continues to hold strong without a single problem. Frankly, I don’t understand the negative reviews I’ve read here. Some people complain it’s too thick or hard to work with, but that wasn’t our experience at all. My wife and I had it laid out, set in the pond, and covered with dirt around the edges in under 30 minutes. Fast, simple, and solid. As for durability, it speaks for itself: our entire waterfall feature — 30+ large rocks — came crashing down on this liner, and it didn’t even leave a scratch. That tells you everything you need to know about how tough it is. We couldn’t be happier and want others to know this product works exactly as promised.

Good quality and good price
I use this inside of a full wine barrel size pond. It was pretty thick and a little hard to work with in the unusual shape of the barrel. This would probably be better for an in the ground pond and would be easier to work. For the barrel, it was very stiff, but making a barrel pond is very difficult anyway. I did notice that it easily tore when I bumped it with a tool while I was screwing in the sides of the barrel to hold it in place, but I suppose a metal tool hitting any plastic would be likely to cause damage.

Liner arrived seamed and leaks.
I purchased a 30’ x 35’ liner for a pond rebuild. I bought this size to fit the whole pond, so i would not have a seam and a potential of a leak. The liner arrived with a 35’ seam. I thought its a factory seam and should be ok. Prior to installing any pumps, or cutting, I filled the pond with water. I lost an inch of water per day. This was just standing water, no movement. The seam was located in a stream, just 6’ in water. The rest of the liner was all one piece. So im losing 1” of water with just 6’ of seam in the water. I drained the pond, and pulled back the liner where the seam was located and it was wet. The seam was leaking. I contacted Vevor and they told me to heat the seam at 200 deg. This seam will always leak!! The reason for the rebuild was because of a seam that would never seal completely. It just got worse over time. So will this one!! I paid $1200 for a full size liner. If i wanted a seam, i would have bought 2 smaller sizes at half the cost. I also have $800 in labor costs to the point im at right now. No where on their site does it state you may get a seamed liner. The company also doesnt stand behind their product. My suggestion is to purchase from another company if you dont want a leaking seam, and somebody who stands behind what they are selling. Or, save money and buy 2 smaller liners and seam it yourself…but beware, a seam will always leak at some point. I am a 25 year pond owner!!

Cheap and strong
Having trouble trying to figure out the right material to line your pond with? I was. And thought I made a big mistake when I opened it up and rolled it out. It's basically the same as plastic drop cloth like you would buy at a hardware store, but much thicker. 5mil thickness is the extra durable kind you can get on large rolls, but this is 4 times thicker. It's STIFF! But fear not, once you drape it over your hole and start filling from the center, the water weight and pressure will push it naturally up against the walls. What it's not. Rubberized and stretchy- but there was no reason for me to think this. Puncture it? You'd have a real hard time with a ball point pen. I feel confident I could walk on it with gravel on top without any worries. Flexible yes, but I wouldn't say pliable. You won't be able to stretch it like the more rubberized expensive pond liner and you'll end up with a lot of folds and creases, but once you start putting in plants and gravel, you won't give it a second thought. UV protection? Many say it will last for 2 years, but I've had 5 mil liner last much longer. Besides, the natural coating of dead algae and dirt will coat it, giving it extra protection. I'd buy again. It's a great deal for the price.

Great product
Working awesome in my koi pond! Haven't had any issues. One watch out is once algae builds up your rocks in pond may slide essily.

Great Pond Liner
Very good liner. I was concerned about the size I ordered by it came a little oversized which was perfect. It was not easy putting it down by myself, but get the under liner that has the metal clips it makes it easier. This is a quality liner so it is heavy I would recommend 2 people when doing this.

Strong and easy to work with!
This thing is great. I wish I could remember the first liner I got, but I can't. Anyway, this one is much, much better. It's a lot thicker, and is not as stiff. Very satisfied!

Bought this and installed on my pond and it doesn't hold water after I filled it up. I noticed at the beginning that it's 2 joined pieces together not a whole 1 piece. Please advise what to do with this purchase. If I have to return this, I would need to dismantle the whole pond which would be a huge hassle. This item was worth $1700.

It was quite difficult to work with as it is stiff plastic. As I filled the pond, the liner slipped down on one end so I was disappointed with the result. Otherwise I hope it lasts. I was concerned about the plastic cracking as we were installing it. I had used a rubber liner before. Because it slipped down, my water level is less than I wanted. I will probably replace it with a rubber liner.
