Stuck pages but easy to separate
The table of continents were wrong so they put a sticker over it with correct info. So thats a little odd. Overall I Love the Bible and the illustrations but the pages are thin like normal Bible. So the pages with the photos were sticking together throughout the entire book. Me and my child had to go thru ALL the 1700 pages and separate them. Now it’s near to a perfect Bible.

If you have to own only ONE KJV study Bible this one should be it
This is a killer price, especially with free prime shipping! I really like this Bible. The page edge "note" system is very handy and useful. You do not have to leave the page to find the next page like you do in a Thompson. Also very useful is that the modern word explanations of old words, and the other notes, such as names of God or cross references are right at the end of the verse, so everything is contained within the verse at the very end of each verse. That way you can keep reading without having to stop and look them up. I prefer this system to the Thompson system. I like that all of the direct words of God in both the OT and the NT are in red. It is a handy personal size, but the type is actually a LARGE 12 point. The pages are kind of thin but not excessively so. A wet highlighter will bleed through however. So use a dry highlighter or colored pencil if that bothers you. All of these are printed in Korea. They also come in a nice sturdy reusable box. The indexes and appendixes are awesome and huge. The cover is imitation leather of a very nice feeling Black material, it is not edge sewn. The pages are sort of "gilded", by which I mean it is rather lightly done. This is a very useful Bible that has a lot going for it, and even at retail it is a very good/excellent value.

Beautiful Bible - Excellent keeper for yourself or as a gift.
Bought this back in 2016. I love this bible, but ended up giving it to my father who has already read through the bible numerous times and continues to read it daily. I have a little difficulty with the text, so I am looking for a KJV Easy reader which will help translate words like thou and thus into you, etc.. I haven't been through it as many times as my father, so I still get stuck on translating the words and then have to re-read the same passage a few times. However, I have 000 complaints about this bible itself. One day, I will look forward to going back to this version to read again. It had great reference pages. I love that it gives definitions in the back of the bible to a lot of the words used in the bible. The cover is so soft. Oh how I love the word of God! This bible will definitely be a treasure for anyone who purchases it. The only recommendation I would have... , unless you are comfortable or able to easily translate the older language into newer language (thus, thou, etc..) , maybe go for the KJV easy reader version.

Very Small Type in the KJV; Consider CEV Edition
On the whole, I have to admit, I've become a fan of both Scandinavia Publishing House, as well as Jose Perez Montero--prolific illustrator of children's books from decades past. Their much-abridged and paraphrased Children's Bible, also illustrated by JPM, is highly commendable--probably even more so than this Illustrated Bible. The issue with the KJV edition of the Illustrated Bible is the varying typeface. The gospels display something like a 10-point font; the psalter bumps that up to maybe an 11. The rest of the Bible is printed in something like a 9 or 9.5 typeface with subtle variances in character and line spacing--the constantly changing orthography is all very distracting. And, then, to top it all off, the book of Numbers has a font reduced to something like an 8-point; and the font in Leviticus is reduced *even further* to an eye-straining 7-point!*Clearly* this is a Bible that's designed to be looked at, but not actually read ... which is disappointing--because the several hundred illustrations that grace almost every other spread in this 1700-page tome really bring the accompanying text to life (if you can read it!).This all being the case, you may as well acquire the CEV edition of the Illustrated Bible (isbn 9788772477244 or 9788772476803). The CEV edition displays a more uniform 10-point typeface throughout. It was also published first. I am led to believe that the reason the KJV edition sports such odd orthography is because the Illustrated Bible was designed using the CEV text. This new edition is merely a strained attempt at retrofitting the immensely verbose (but highly literary) KJV into the preexisting page layout of the truly concise children's CEV.[A brief aside: SPH makes no version of the full-size Illustrated Bible that offers the Apocrypha--even though the KJV has the Apocrypha, the CEV has the Apocrypha, and JPM has illustrated the Apocrypha.]My suggestion to SPH: don't cram 100% of the KJV (or any adult biblical text) into page designs and layouts intended for a children's translation. Instead, consider carefully condensing the KJV text ala the Reader's Digest Bible. (Or, just license the Reader's Digest Bible's text for use here!) And, while you're at it, offer an edition with the Apocrypha! I would buy this! I *so* want an adult Bible with lots of good pictures! ... Just not at the expense of the actual biblical text.Other recommended alternatives:Children's Bible (Story Book): isbn 9788772470573 or 9788771324716 or 9788772472775Children's Bible with (intertestamental) Apocrypha: isbn 9788772476896 or 9780888345790Children's Bible Catholic Edition: isbn 9780882711973 (fewer apocryphal books; set in canonical order)Children's Bible Reader: isbn 9781585168279 (illustrations based on Eastern Orthodox iconography)

Great bible
Among the many bibles I own, this is one of my favorite KJV's. I also own a kjv Holman study bible, and an old scofield kjv. This one is unique in its own way. What makes it special is its red lettering text when God is speaking in the Old testament as well as the N.T. unlike other bibles that only have red text when God is speaking in the N.T. also useful for studies includes a margin marking to tract the specific topic of interest from the o.t. all the way to the NewThis bible is also well made and will not fall apart like many others. The added goodies towards the end include geneologies, fulfilled prophecies columns, bible science and creation, and even a guide to personal witnessing . This is a great addition of the trusted KJV to anyone's collection or for a first time bible buyer ☺
