Hot,Hot,Hot
Hot water on tap, this is ideal for making tea or coffee, we buy an American dried potato which requires hot water, also gravy powder and anything else that hot water is needed for, It keeps water at a constant temperature, you can choose from a few preset temperature options. This is cheaper to run as it does not boil from cold unlike a normal kettle, except when refilled (which is once a day normally for us) I would not be without this product as it is so convenient. P.S Have had this for sometime now and i am still impressed with it, Just one small niggle, cleaning and rinsing out can be awkward, and if you are not careful you could splash yourself with hot water after using a descaling solution, Apart from that a great asset to the kitchen.

Good water dispenser .
This is quite big in size if you have a smallish kitchen like me but it isn't too big . It came well protected and boxed both by Amazon and Neostar . Very easy and straight forward to use and its got different water temperatures to choose from to suite your needs . I like this dispencer but I feel the water temperature could be put at a maximum of over one hundred degrees instead of ninety seven degrees . At the highest setting the water is hot as you would expect but we like our tea and coffee very hot like water just out of a boiling kettle . If Neostar could get a higher temperature setting to give you very hot water then I would have given it 5 stars . My overall thoughts are that it is a very Good water dispenser and it will remain to be seen how long it will last before something goes wrong ( fingers crossed ) . When I first got it and having read previous reviews I filled it up and let it heat up to its maximum temperature then I poured the water into a pan to flush the system out and there was very small traces of oil on the water surface . After refilling and letting it heat again it had totally cleared so was very happy . One thing I have to mention is that I have never encountered bad tastes from the water and it tastes like any other boiled water . I compared it with water from our kettle and I couldn't taste any difference . If you like your hot drinks hot but not very hot then I would recommend this 5 litre machine , but we like our drinks a bit hotter so only 4 stars were given .

Fantastic, value for money, build and quality
we have two smaller 2.5L ones of these we use in smaller meeting rooms and finally the big old boiler in the large meeting room finally gave up the ghost. I was straight on to amazon to find this beast. I saved the company over 150 quid by buying from Amazon compared to the large catering company we use for groceries. This product is quiet, fast, easy to use and safe to carry around when full. I love the way you can choose the different temperatures and the 3 ways to dispense the water. The display is nice and clear, the LED lights easily show the level of the water and in general is a very well made piece of equipment. we have had the 2 smaller ones of these for 18 months and they look as good as new and had no problems whatsoever. I can't recommend these enough.

Love this but be patient with the initial odd taste, it disappears with descaler
I have had one of these water boilers before not this specific make but I loved my last one and can’t ever see me using a normal kettle again. This time I opted for a larger size and this is perfect, once it’s boiled there is no wait for multiple cups of tea/coffee , and because of the size you aren’t constantly having to fill it and wait for the boil. Very odd taste in the water at first this does disappear once you use descaler a few times but that is the only downside to this, it’s also good if you need a pot of boiling water for like pasta or veg and cuts down the waiting time when cooking. This is amazing if you have children you want to teach how to make tea but worry about them struggling with a kettle as no lifting is needed just push a button and it dispenses safely over the years I’ve used these both my children are able to make hot drinks safely from the age of about 9 upwards but that’s obviously a parents judgement call. This would also be great for anyone who is less mobile regarding lifting standard kettles, elderly or those with mobility issues, definitely a safer option

Brittle Plastic
I absolutely love this gadget, the electricity savings alone are worth buying it for. It fits in beautifully to my kitchen and provides quick hot water for drinks which is easily dispensed. Cleaning is very simple, fill it up, add some of the provided cleaning crystals (Citric Acid, once finished just use lemon juice) leave overnight, empty and rinse. Unfortunately like everything made these days the words 'Profit' comes into play and somewhere inside something will have been affected by the bean counters. My problem arose when I noticed small white pieces that looked like dislodged scale floating about in the water. After cleaning I noticed this white on the internal lid screws, so I removed them to give the lid a clean. On doing so I dislodged loads of pieces of crisp plastic bits. These came from part of either the steam vent or push dispenser (which has stopped working). The disintegrated part was stamped PP - Polypropylene. This plastic is used on numerous applications like shampoo bottle lids etc, unfortunately under heat it degrades and becomes brittle - Not the best plastic to chose for the lid of a constant hot water dispenser! I've now removed the part and put the dispenser back together. Hopefully it's removal won't affect the machines abilities. Why make such a fantastic item, then use the wrong plastic on an internal fitting?

Instant boiling or hot water.
So far it is great, received it early today. I opened the box and the first thing I saw was the Instruction Manual for the 3.5 litre model. I ordered the 5Lt so of course my first thought was that things were not looking good. It did however state 5Ltr model on the box. Happily it WAS the 5Ltr model inside, it appears that the one manual is used for both models. Unusually for these things the Instruction Manual is clearly written, even I could follow it. It is basic and very small print and small diagrams but it shows all that I needed to know. Someone said it takes thirty minutes to boil for the first time, but they all take about that long for the first boil. The writer stated that people would have to wait for their first cuppa in the morning however the Perma Therm has a timer, not all of them do. So I intend to time it to switch on again half an hour before I expect to get up in the morning. The timer is in increments of one hour up to twenty four hours. Not all these types of boilers have a timer. I have it sitting underneath a wall cupboard because the lid only needs to be raised when being re filled and it is light enough to slide forward to fill and then slide back again. I replaced a Hot-Cup water heater with this and it looks as though there is more room on the work surface than before, probably because it fits under the wall cupboard which the Hot-cup did not because of the constant need to re-fill with the need to lift the lid of the HCup. The water really does keep its temperature but I'll edit this after a day of two of use to keep potential buyers informed. It heats up to 100 degrees which is what I have set it to. EDIT.......... I'm very pleased with this machine. It first heats to 100 degrees then settles to 95/97. Temperature for sterilize is 82C - 88C so no worries about the water not being hot enough. I tend to forget to press the UNLOCK before pressing to dispense but that is a great safety feature, that way no one presses dispense in error and scalds themselves. The timer worked and I woke up to water at a temperature ready to make tea this morning. I always use leaf tea and it makes that fine - plus instant coffee and hot chocolate. It is very light when almost empty as I found when I decided to empty that last few cups of hot water and re-fill. The lid is rather floppy and slightly cumbersome when emptying the Neostar Perma but not really a problem.

So Far, Love It
Been using the 5Litre Perm Therm (PT) for 1 month now, home use only, 2 retired people with numerous family & friends dropping in, and finding it Really Useful. With family in and out of the house, they can get a coffee/Tea quickly and easily. No fussing around, re-filling the water filter jug, then re-filling the very noisy kettle.... numerous times a day. We find the taste is Exactly the same as from the kettle. Some people have mentioned an odd taste, but as we live in a reasonably hard water area we always filter all our water, which I would recommend with the PT. I would have given 5 stars, but for 2 small things. The product looks good, but is rather less robust than expected. And, Every time you turn the PT Off, the next time you turn On, it automatically defaults to 85 degrees. In my opinion, 85 deg's definitely isn't hot enough. It's easy to re set to 98 degrees, but then you have to wait for it to heat up. Mine is on 98 deg's All the time, and is SO quiet throughout the day. (I Don't turn the machine off unless I'm cleaning it) Before going to bed, I simply programme the timer FIRST, then wait a few seconds until it has gone into Sleep Mode, Then, I re-fill the PT with filtered water. In the morning the water is hot 96-98 degrees, and ready for the start of the day. I would suggest checking the dimensions of the different size P.Therms carefully first, against your kitchen cupboard heights and available surface area, thinking about where you ideally would want to place it. My 5litre PT won't go under a unit, however, it sits reasonably comfortably where the kettle used to be. I can't comment on electricity consumption, but I'm convinced it HAS to be much better than continually boiling a kettle. Final comments, So far so good, and I wouldn't want to go back to using a kettle. Product arrived on time. I hope this is helpful.

Great unit, instructions need one or two tweaks
I had to replace an aging kettle and decided to take a go at an instant hot water device. This keeps the water hot for when you need it and the 5ltr is a perfect size for not just coffees but also for pans of veg or rice. Easy to use and fill. Flow is a good rate too. There are a couple of things that the instructions should tell you but don't: when you switch it on it immediately boils and the display turns red - while the display is red you cannot dispense until the display is green. The reheat button will not function until the water temp drops to or below 94C. When using the reboil the first press starts boiling and it waits until you press again to stop boiling. Otherwise everything is spot on so far.
