Trust this Brand. The only kind you want to buy!!
I bought this product about 16 mos ago and have used the entire can. I bought the Tanglefoot Tangle Trap Sticky Coating first simply because of the other reviews I had read here on Amazon. It is the best. My 8 oz jar lasted about 16 mos. I have a piece of property that is about 1/3 swamp.....so you can imagine the mosquitoes and no-seeums and lots of other biting bugs in abundance. I almost bought the big blue balls when I found a review of some guy that claimed he got good results from blue Solo cups instead of those blue balls. That had me pulling the trigger on just this product. So yeah forget those blue balls. When this arrived, I had gotten the blue Solo cups and some string. I put 2 holes in the bottom of the cup, on the side edge and then pushed the string thru both holes and tied a knot in string so now it could be hung up. It will hang upside down from how you would drink out of a Solo cup :) I did this to all I was hanging (I usually hang 3-5.) Once all the strings were in place, I opened the can of Tangle Trap with its nice thick sturdy brush and started coating each Solo cup. I put my left hand into the solo cup to help me move the cup around to get it coated well. Once I had it coated, I would hang it immediately. I might only visit that property a few times per month, but we definitely have less bugs biting us now. I don't have to wear bug spray now for the most part, either. I made a believer out of my husband. When I ordered this....he thought I wasted money. I told him wait and see...If we get no bugs on these cups, you can tell me you told me so...... the first time I put them up, that next day all the cups were SOOO loaded with bugs, that my husband was amazed and now he is the one to remind me to make sure i have my Tangle Trap and blue Solo cups when we head to the property. Not only that but he has mentioned it to friends quite a few times. BTW the Solo cups do have to be the Blue ones....I don't have an exact reason, but that is what several reviewers claimed and I also found to work best. After a year, I needed to order more, but it was sold out...... So I saw a similar product called Catch EM' and assumed they would be equal in every way. They were not equal. It was so messy to use, where the Tangle Trap is super easy to apply to my Solo Blue cups. NOW that I found this in stock again, Ordering a new can or two, so I can toss the other crap in the trash. I highly recommend this product. It really works and is so easy to use. Used in Lake Leelanau, MI and Rapid City, MI. First purchased April 2022, 2nd can in my cart for next purchase. Very happy with this product.

Worked perfectly for my purposes
It's election time and I was having difficulty with people stealing the campaign signs in my front yard. I bought the tangle trap and a box of gloves (BIG NECESSITY) and smeared tanglefoot along the top and side of each campaign sign on both the front and back edges. It goes on with a brush attached to the lid, kind of like rubber cement and is incredibly sticky. You do not want to get this stuff on your hands or anything else, so wear latex gloves when handling and applying it. I also put the can inside a sandwich bag while applying, for good measure. Nobody has bothered any of my signs. For those looking for a review of the traditional uses, all of my signs have insects trapped in the tanglefoot smeared at all the edges, so it works for traditional purposes.

Really sticky. 2 catches in first 4 minutes
Arrived with minor damaged and had leaked into shipping envelope. Most of it was in can so I used disposable gloves to smear onto the bug balls I bought separately. The bug balls worked well and this stuff is super duper sticky. The brush was useless, I just spun the bug ball on its rope while drizzling half a can around the top portion. It started running and I just smeared it around using a gloved hand. Cleanup afterwards- I found it best to wipe with a terry cloth before washing with soap which removed most of what got on my arms. I’m rubbing it off using friction now and it’s a little messy still but not too bad.By the time I cleaned up and threw out the container I went to clean up the drips so dogs don’t get into it. Both of my bug balls had a yellow fly stuck on its back in this stuff! I’m talking about 4 minutes and already two kills!! I’m excited to check it tomorrow, because I hate yellow flies!!!

Works great..!!
Used this to trap pests that may attack my cabbage plants. Worked well on milk jugs and plastic cups painted yellow. I wrapped jugs with plastic wrap for when they got loaded with bugs. Pulled wrap off, put new on, and put more sticky coating on.
