Men's Trench Coat - Long Jacket Overcoat-Oversized Casual Windbreaker

I'm a big guy. A BIG guy. Nearly 400lbs. So when I say it's tough to find a coat in my size, that's a valid complaint. Well, I finally found a nice looking overcoat that fits my incredibly large frame, and I'm thrilled. It looks amazing. It's warm (tried it on in September and was immediately too warm to be comfortable, but I needed to be sure it fit before I need it). The quality doesn't feel cheap. The button holes are a bit snug, so it is going to take a little work to button up until those loosen from wear. For the price, I'm quite happy.

VERY NICE WEIGHT IS GREAT

This trench coat was purchased for my nephew. He is 6'4" big & tall and usually takes a 5XLT. This coat is NOT a 5XL the measurements aren't what they say they are it's more like a 2/3XL. The sleeves are WAY TO SHORT he could not even stretch arms out in front without the sleeves going up to his elbows nor could he button it up although the length seems to be fine went down to his knees. My suggestion is if you're going to have this manufactured in China and sold in America then use American Measurements so that the item will actually will fit. I hope this review helps others if you or are thinking about ordering for yourself or someone that is big & tall look elsewhere don't order as this product.

As a foreigner, it's important to understand that this site uses american size units. On the item's tag it specifies that for a medium size american unit, this is 3XL for asians, which is where this coat was manufactured originally. Personally, I'm a lanky person, around the tall side at 1.81m or 6 feet tall, and at medium size, the coat feels fine, but I definitely feel like I could've gotten just the right measure at small. It's still usable, and while I could return it, being outside the US means having to deal with extra costs for shipping and time, which I don't really feel are worth. Overall though, the coat's quality itself is superb, barring the measuring issue, I think this is well worth the money. That said, it's definitely warmer than I anticipated, coming from a subtropical climate, so I wouldn't use this outside autumn or winter myself.

I got a very large size, and its much smaller than i'd think. Are size ratings in asia much smaller than the same size rating in america?

Given the widely divergent reviews this product has already received, I wan't sure what I would be receiving. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the perfect fit and excellent quality. Although it has a notched collar, there is also a thoughtful throat latch for times when it is really cold. As someone who does a lot of walking, I am truly impressed by the long length of this coat. I don't know why, but it is almost impossible to find a long men's coat. I have only one quibble - and it may not even bother most people - by definition, a trench coat has epaulettes - but they are conspicuously missing from this coat. Originally intended to accommodate a Sam Brown pistol belt, they can still be useful for securing a shoulder bag, so I personally am disappointed that they are not present.
