Re-LapZ B-Bender Kit (Double) - No-Drilling After-Market String Bender for Lap Steel & Top-Load Electric Guitars

Very easy to install. The price was really a bonus. It does have one drawback; the lever tends to move out if position and need adjusting often. It works a well as any B bender I have used and I am happy with especially the price. Buy one you will like it.

These benders (when installed on a telecaster) need the longer type of bridge plate with mounting holes BEHIND the thru-the-body string holes AND with string holes directly under the intonation adjuster holes. You’ll need both sets of string holes for this to work. You’ll also need to 3D print a bender lever guide to prevent the benders from flopping side to side. They’ll do this even when under string pressure without it and you’ll never bend to the same note twice. See the attached photos. Just measure your bridge properly and print something like that shown. Use the top left/right string holes to bolt the guide to your bridge and the body string holes for the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th strings. There is only one bridge for sale that I know of on amazon that will work for these benders and unfortunately, the angle pickup hole was cut at the wrong angle on the one I received, necessitating Dremel carving work on the body. The guide I made measures 80mm long, 18mm high and 6mm wide at the top. Guide slots are 9mm wide by 15mm deep

Didn’t really get an opportunity to use. Unfortunately the string end is too thick and sticks out about an inch. The hole is too small for the strings I was using. I know this is a small company and these are clearly well produced and look decent and well packaged. Just wish that hole was a tad bigger to accommodate different strings. Would love to purchase in the future if this is addressed as I think they could offer a cheaper solution.

I purchased these benders as an inexpensive way to try bending on a lapsteel. They are great for experimenting on a fraction of the price of the better known manufacturers. A bit temperamental but fun for experimenting and giving it a try without blowing your bank account. Customer service was very responsive to my needs.

I wish the connection between the benders and saddle was a tighter union. They tend to wobble up and down a bit. I had to add a standard electric bridge unit to have something to work from.

Very successful outcome but buyers should be aware that lapsteels to which these bars are fitted should have a tailpiece that is the equivalent width of the bridge. If not the saddles will not fit properly on adjacent strings and will tend to nudge strings off the bridge. I have a budget SX lap steel and these bars will only fit on alternate strings until I have modded the tailpiece.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but this is unusable unless you’re only using one bender (and that’s garbage) the Nut that joins the 2 pieces of cheap steel together are far too big, you can’t sit both “benders” beside each other unless you pull them apart, so it cost me money sourcing nuts that work for the “benders”!!!! Also, the “benders” are totally useless once you do get the correct nuts, they flop around all over the place with just the string keeping them in place, this is absolutely dreadful, please do not buy this junk that looks like it was made in a shed by an apprentice hammer thrower. It looks bad, it feels bad, it plays brutal with its Impersonation of a drunk street lamp, it’s all over the place. If you’re expecting quality I’m here to assure you that THIS THING is not fit for the trash, I paid £77 plus another £8 for faster delivery, I don’t want my money back, I just want people to avoid this utter TRASH. Spend the extra money on a Certano or similar, this guy should be investigated by trading standards.
