Brought them camping and cooked a variety of things in them. They come pre-seasoned but I scrubbed em clean & reseasoned em anyway. Pros: These seem very well built. The cast iron part had no defects and the poles feel substantial and well made. The poles come unscrew off and come in two pieces so you can choose your length. This also makes it easy to store. I used them at full length over a campfire in a large firepit. The shorter length seems like it would be ideal over a small fire, a stove or a grill. The fact that the pole unscrews from the pie iron makes cleanup easier too. The pie iron halves separate easily when using. Cons: My only con is probably a personal preference thing but it has grill ridges on the inside. I guess people like those grillmarks, but these pie irons are small, Wonderbread-sized. It makes it a little bit of a pain to clean. I like my camp kitchen supplies to be as easy to clean as I can manage since cleaning up while camping is not as easy as at home. Would I recommend these? Yes! Its great for solo camping and makes cooking a little more fun. I made burgers, ham & swiss pudgie pies with crescent dough and chocolate chip cookies in mine and this thing performed beautifully and stored away compactly. I may buy more since I only bought one.

We love this pudgie pie maker!! We love it so much we bought another. It is solid and small enough to pack away for camping. It works perfectly for a variety of meals. Food really doesn’t stick very much at all for us. It is easy and simple to use.

Be careful not to let them heat up too much before putting in the food!! We messed them up and didn’t get them out in time and they scorched the food but they didn’t deteriorate at all so they must be pretty good quality cast iron given they’re intact after what we put them through! Looking forward to next time!

It worked good. Not as good as some of my older cast iron ones but did the job. Would get more. Cleaned up easy , cooked food evenly. Stuck a little but not horrible

Exactly what I was hoping for. The casting was good on mine. I recently purchased other pie irons from a different, cheaper brand and this one was definitely worth spending a couple extra bucks. It's quality is much better than the 2-pack no-name brand pie irons that are cheaper (I have some of those cheaper irons and they are very hit or miss, some of them are not even useable as a pie iron. This Uno Casa brand blows them out of the water). Very pleased with this purchase.

Like many people I started with an inexpensive Coghlan's pie iron. This is much better quality. The two halves fit together well so there is a better seal and less oil leaking out. The whole thing is built sturdier. I really like the two part handles and keep mine short so I can easily stow it and use it on my camp stove or over the fire.

Our iron rods were bent and tarnished when we took them out of the box.
