These Blades Are No Joke, Incredible Cutting Performance
When people say these tools are sharp, they are not exaggerating. I do linoblock printing and I’m pretty serious about safety while carving. I wear cut-resistant gloves, pay attention to blade direction, all of that. The irony is the only time I injured myself was during cleanup because I took the gloves off thinking I was done. I accidentally grabbed the protective cap from a different brand of blades and tried putting it onto one of these. The blade sliced straight through the cap, through my finger, and hit bone before I even realized what happened. So let that be your warning. These things are insanely sharp. That said, the cutting performance is incredible because of it. The difference compared to cheaper lino cutters was immediately noticeable. Cutting traditional linoleum feels dramatically smoother and more controlled now. It almost feels closer to carving those softer easy-carve/rubber style blocks than actual linoleum. The cleaner cuts have noticeably improved the quality of my prints and made detailed carving much easier. The way the handle fits in my hand feels very natural and my hand doesnt feel exhausted or cramped after long sessions. While the cost is high, I do see these as something I'll have for a very very long time. If you’re getting into relief printing or linocut seriously, these feel like real tools instead of hobby store compromises. Just respect the blades because they absolutely do not care about your confidence level or lack of mindfulness.

Great set!
Love this set, I have had so much fun using them and learning how to block print. I'd say these are great for ambitious beginner and above. I feel like I can get professional looking prints with these and I like that it comes with the sharpener. I wish I could find more sizes for it though. Overall I am happy with the gouge sizes and quality of the tools

Good and Sharp but with some imperfections
I bought this product soft wood carving and i had a really good time using it. I have ti say that I'm Italian and i had to spend a lot for the import taxes but it was still worth the price. They cut really well but the v-tool have some problems: the bigger one has one side longer than the other and the smaller one is so small that you have to be careful not to cut perpendicular to the wood fibers. At the end of the day although the have some little problems they are really fun to use IN COMBO WITH A CURVING KNIFE (don't be stingy when you buy one, it'll be worth the price). Something I'm not really happy about is the stropping thing because it's just a wood piece and the compound is just too hard to be used even when heated up, i just use the one i bought some time ago for my knife. Still a very good product

Best tools I've found
I've tried a few things for cutting the "easy cut" block printing material and these tools are absolutely nicer than anything else I've tried. They're easy to store, comfortable to use, sharp and well-shaped to glide on the surface of the block instead of biting and trying to dig in (like some woodworking tools I've tried.) They absolutely make carving easier and more pleasant; if I'd stuck to the speedball tools I probably never would have gotten into the hobby. Sometimes the tools really do make all the difference and this is one of those times.

Best Deal on a Flexcut starter set you can find!
This lino/wood set is by far the best deal at the very best price. I paid $46.50 Prime Shipping. I looked far and wide and read reviews extensively on Amazon as well as Woodcraft and the Flexcut website. While there are some negative reviews they are far outnumbered by the rave reviews. I wasn't overly enamored with the idea of interchangeable tools and one handle, especially ABS versus the wood handled chisels. I am delighted with this handle although I have not used it for a lengthy project...I may have to recant this statement. This handle does fit the palm nicely. I really needed to compare this to the woodcarver starter set which also boasts 4 profiles with the ABS handle. It is a more expensive set and comes with the tool roll and a small piece of basswood with a leaf pattern. This set boasts 4 profiles with the ABS handle, a tool roll, and a small version of their slipstrop (with out leather) specifically for the chisel profiles and a stick of their yellow stropping compound. According to the Flexcut website at flexcutdotcom, The Lino/Wood set includes the following profiles: Sweeps 1 each #6 5/16" (8mm) SK306 1 each #11 1/8" (3mm) SK309 V Parting tool 1 each 45 degree micro (1mm) SK803 1 each 70 degree 1/4" (6mm) SK307 I was originally thinking about buying the micro palm tool set at about $59.99 for the small detail wood work. This interchangeable set is not all micro, but gives a broader foundation for adding more profiles. Flexcut has a list of all of their profiles on their website that you can print out. That's how I made the comparison between several of their sets. I can add profiles as the need arises. Each profile runs around $12.00 at the local wood store. The tool roll is just cheap vinyl. It's just more of a temporary place to store your profiles. I rolled it up and the profiles already started to slice the vinyl. You can make a more protective covering for the sharp edges with high density foam and a cut up bleach bottle. It will at least keep it from tearing thru the vinyl. This set at least provides the small slipstrop and the compound. That is a huge deal to not have to buy it separately. I had already purchased the standard slipstrop with the leather a few weeks ago for my knives. I didn't think I could go wrong having two! So, for $46.60 Prime, which is cheaper than buying direct, or locally at the wood craft outlet, this set rocks. Add the knife of your choice I bought a R. Murphy Knives HANDS Carpet Fixed Blade Knife with Round Design Brown Hardwood Handles and it came very sharp and after the slip strop it got even sharper. You may also consider a Schrade 3 5/16" Closed Middleman Jack 2 Blade the smaller blade is great for details. I am confident I made the right choice for what I want to carve and can add as I go along. You may want to do your own comparison of profile choices and what kits have included.

Linocut made approachable
Wonderful product. Makes getting into linocut easy. They are sharp, which is the point, but if you can use a kitchen knife then that shouldn’t be an issue. The quality is top notch. Love the case. The handle is super comfortable. Easy to switch out the blades. I got great results the very first time I used them and getting better the more prints I make. Very enjoyable to make a ton of cards for friends and family.

Spettacolare!

Does it do the job?
Good, adaptable set. I find changing the blades a bit hard, but the handle is comfortable to use and it's a good basic set of very sharp blades.

What you read (not see) is what you get.
I should have read the description prior to purchase. Instead I purchased based on the image shown. That was my fault. I’ll still keep the blades because Flexcut is a great product, but in future, you guys need to match the product image to the description.
