Great variety of recipes from appetizers, main courses, side dishes to desserts to get you started with detailed directions with oil temperatures and fry times. It has some photos in black and white but not for all recipes. I would pay more for a book with color photos for each recipe if given the option. None the less, great book to get started.

We recently ordered the deep fryer. This cookbook gives us so many options for cooking.

I liked that this book had so many simple receipes that i believe i will try making. Although the book is designed for T-Fal anyone with a deep fryer will benefit from using it. I removed one star for lack of color pictures. By the way i recently purchased a Cuisinart 4 qt. fryer from Amazon and love it. I was torn between the T-Fal and Cuisinart they both are top of the line fryers. I dont have use of my left arm and i thought with my wifes help the Cuisinart would suit me better. If i lost this book i would buy again.

...how long ago I helped in the kitchen at home, let us say before microwaves. Mom fried a lot of stuff, and we loved it. So, I requested and a good deep fryer for a gift, and got it. But remembering what mom used to make, well lets say there are some things you remember well all your life, but how to make Scotch Eggs is not one of them. That recipe and Fried Green Tomatoes say home cooking to me. The bonus was this cookbook, which can be used with any fryer, was written for the fryer I got.

photos are all black and white , seems a bit over priced to me .

mmm this is a very good book and i love the pictures. originally bought this as a gift for my grandma along with a deep fryer since she can't seem to cook however my mother had other ideas and kept it for ourselves. made some deep fried green beans, onion rings, fries, mushrooms, and uhhh forgot the rest. you need a lot of coating and covering for your stuff but the recipes were nice very good.

We are loving our T-Fal deep fryer! Primary perks: all parts can go in the dishwasher, the oil is filtered into a bottom compartment which you can leave the oil in, however we purchased two stainless steel canisters to pour the oil into (where it can be stored in a dark cabinet and re-used up to 5 times, the filtering process is quite good). We have never owned a deep fryer and I was worried about splatter and it creating a huge time consuming clean up job, but that is simply not the case. We sit it to cook on our butcher block island and there is not much mess at all that gets onto the counter, which seeing as it's butcher block, just a bit of hot water on a clean rag wipes up easily. The rest simply needs to be allowed to cool, the oil filtered through (just a turn of a knob) and the rest loads up in the dishwasher. We've only used peanut oil in ours so far, which is delicious. Does everything it says it does.

Easy recipes. Easy to follow and the ingredients are everyday kitchen staples. Highly recommend it!!!
