It’s a cute idea but I couldn’t keep up!

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package with this Advent calendar. The pockets are well sewn. The stitching is neat & it is about the same distance from the edge of the pocket. Also, each pocket has a calendar number embroidered on it, so it looks very similar to a calendar. The believe that's important because it's being used with kids. Being laid out that way helps children learn about calendars, what they're for & how the days are counted. I've seen many Advent calendars that look nothing like a calendar, and are more accurately described as activities.This comes with just the calendar, with no toys, candies or anything else included in the pockets. This is exactly what I wanted. I'll go to the craft store & pick up a small gingerbread man or snowman, or maybe even something that represents the baby Jesus or a small item depicting the Holy Family. My child can move the toy from one pocket to the next & count off the days until Christmas come.I really like this calendar & am happy that I ordered it and look forward to using it with my child.

First of all I appreciate that this advent calendar isn’t stuffed full of Knick knacks that will break in a few hours. The colors are elegant and the pockets are perfect size for putting coins in for my kids. Something they can actually use during the holiday season.
