Change your aquarium's water automatically with AutoAqua's AWC system. AWC & ATO All-In-One. Water changes are one of the most time-consuming maintenance tasks with saltwater aquariums. There has been plenty of debate over how much water you should change and whether it should be weekly or bi-weekly, but no one argues against daily water changes. Changing 2% of your water every day will greatly increase your tanks stability and potential for longevity. Includes pumps & tubingOptical sensors = no moving partsSecure tube holdersSiphon breaksThe simple system uses dual optical sensors, one for a high water level and another for a low water level. The high water level sensor acts as the ATO sensor, knowing when to refill your saltwater tank, from the freshwater reservoir. The top sensor also lets the AWC Touch controller know when to stop refilling the tank after a water change has occurred. The low water sensor acts as the minimum water level when a water change is in progress. During the water change, the output pump will pump water out of your tank our sump into a wastewater reservoir, or floor drain until the low water sensor is activated, telling the controller to turn on the input pump until the high water sensor is tripped, completing the water change and then reverting to a top off controller. It is important to make sure the optical sensors are placed in the same chamber (usually the return chamber) where the water level will fluctuate during a water change. Works perfectly.
Easy to setup. The pumps are very very tiny. I was able to sneak the pump behind the filter sock in my all-in-one tank.It was very easy to setup and has worked perfectly so far.Running from an all-in-one to underneath the stand I needed extra hose. Any food grade 3/8 OD works. My only minor gripe is that it takes a 3 minute break between draining and refilling. I guess on larger tanks it gives the sump level time to equalize but on my 40 gallon cube it isn’t necessary. I wish this was adjustable.A good ATO will cost $100-$200. This thing is a no brainer.

Product has literally changed my life
Being a reefkeeper/planted tank keeper for over 10 years, I honestly thought this product was total BS and too good to be true. Not the case.... No more are the days of bucket hauling, towels everywhere and constantly cleaning the glass or pre-heating water. I can now spend more time focused on testing parameters and enjoying my tanks versus maintenance. The most important thing to me is that this creates a CONSISTENT environment with stable water change intervals and rates. This allows me to perform a 3% water change a day (I decided what volume I wanted to do) with literally no hassle besides initial setup. The only complaint I have is that they don't have a version fit for larger 200+ gallon tanks!LOVE this product.

Love it
Great for water changes. I prefer the manual option.

Failed Open/On!! Major Problem!
AVOID IT!! Not sure how, but the ATO side on mine just failed in the most terrible way possible after only a few months of use. It stuck the ATO pump ON!!! Yup, the display shows that it is supposed to be off and not pumping, but the pump was in fact running non-stop and not shutting off. Even after a full reset and turning off both ATO and AWC, it was still powering the P1 ATO pump and pumping in freshwater. This is the worst possible kind of failure to fail on like this, and right now I would advise to avoid it entirely. I'm contacting their support, and hoping I don't just end up returning it. I have 3 of these on 3 different tanks, so now I don't know if I will be trying to return all of them or what to do...

Controller works great but pumps are tiny...
Controller works great! Pumps are not so great. One of them stopped pumping the next day. Got to admit I extended the cord to the pump because I have the AWC container about 30 feet away and the cord wouldn't reach. I ordered another pump to replace it. Haven't received it yet. I'll update when it arrives.

Auto water change is finicky
UPDATE: WAY TOO MANY BUGS FOR AUTO CHANGE MODE. MANUAL WORKS JUST FINE.I've had a few issues such as a water change going haywire. Great device but some wrinkles still need sorting. Use it, just make sure you have smart design choice like a waste water bucket that can handle at least what the supply bucket holds or plumbing to a drain.

Be Patient
My husband spent a fair amount of time getting all the setting figured out, but in the end, it works great. Nice addition to our tank.
