The magnification and lighting are superior. There are no instructions. The battery compartment is very tight. It is necessary to use forceps or tweezers to remove batteries. The item is very heavy because it needs 3 AA batteries inside the handle. Probably too heavy for an elderly person to hold for an extended period of time.

I love this thing! It covers a lot of space so I don't have to keep moving it back and forth on the page. The light is nice and bright and the UV light comes in handy for verifying currency. It looks heavy but actually it is not nearly as heavy as it looks. Overall I would recommend this product.

This is a great magnifying glass. It was everything I needed and I use it daily. The lights make things so much easier to see. It is much larger than I expected but I love it.
