I’ve been using this product for a year or so in my outdoor cat. It works fine for fleas but he’s covered in ticks!!

First Act Plus worked on a feral cat I trapped to spay, but....
In spite of some negative reviews, I decided to try this since it was cheaper than others. Turned out the tiny little feral mama was pregnant for the 2nd time and had been underfed. So when she delivered a month after 1st treatment, (and a very difficult birth at vet emergency) I had to stop treatment till kittens are weaned and heavy enough to treat. Good The complicated birth (babies tangled in umbilical chords with 1 doa) could have been a result of starvation or treatment, but since she had grown well and was very happy prior to birth, and I had no way to determine mating time, (I suspect near starvation in early pregnancy was the reason) i will use again in another 4 weeks, when kits are weaned, weigh enough and are old enough, but will be very observant of all after consulting vet at checkup. ADDENDUM: Word to the wise: I also ordered Smartycat Catnip, and she MAY have had a sniff a couple of days before she gave birth (honestly cant remember). I have since read CATNIP can precipitate birth in cats!. So I add that in as a potential problem with MamaCat's complicated birth. Nothing on this product OR the catnip bottle mentioned a possible problem in expectant momcats. :( Having been doggie inclined, i hadn't had cats in decades and had NO problems with my kitties years ago) I realize I need to educate myself a lot more. FOLLOWUP EDIT: TWO STARS. Noticed small fleas just hatched showed up crawling on small white kitten last week, and after combing with flea comb and diluted Dawn solution on all three kitties produced fleas, effectiveness after 2 weeks was clearly reduced. Hatching eggs not killed apparently. Going to look for better product.

FRONTLINE is no longer works.e
the problem with this product (as told to me by a couple of vets). My house cat had fleas - lots of them. No clue how he got them as he is a HOUSE cat. whatever the case - i bought this product and it did nothing. it's NOT that this is a bad product - it's the case of the fleas have grown immune to frontline. it have used this frontline typep products for years,. But recently they stopped doing anything against the fleas. IF you try this product (i gave it one star to put a spotlight on it as to why it might not work - fleas are now immune) and it does not work - you have to try NEWER products that fleas are NOT immune to. ONE product i was given information about was called BRAVECTO. (i have no information about this product - i ordered it as the VET told me it's what they use now instead of frontline products because the frontline no longer works). What i do know is the new product the vet used - wiped out the fleas. they normally use the BRAVECTO but they didn't have that so they use REVOLUTION Plus. that finally got rid of the fleas. Hopefully this helps. Good luck if your pets have fleas and these older product do not work. talk to your vet - find out what they recommend.

Worth the Price
It works quickly and gives my pets peace from overly grooming and scratching, but just like most of the less expensive topicals, it doesn’t last too long because they are scratching, again, by the next day. I could use a more stronger dose/brand, but our 7 cats have many allergies and I don’t want to get them sick or God forbid, deathly ill for using stronger ones.

First act flea treatment
Been using on my cat. It seems like it works for a couple of weeks. But I think not as long as it should. Will be trying other brands.

An Absolute Must!
We inherited an indoor/outdoor cat when we moved in to our new house several years ago, but didn’t know it until late winter that year. As we already had four indoor cats, we weren’t looking to share the space, until she kept on showing up. We eventually set her up in the garage, but she made her way in the house, so we decided to get some flea/tick protection, for everyone’s sake. It’s easy to apply to the back of the neck, has no real odour to speak of, and is not messy. You should avoid touching the area for a wee bit, as it stays quite wet. A good price and quality for something that is an essential for our feline friends when they venture out the door.

Perfectly fine product
Initially I was very skeptical after buying this flea treatment because of the several cases of cats missing fur and developing scabs... I was really nervous after putting this on my indoor/outdoor cat. The first image is about 6 hours after one application. Second photo is about 12 hours. Almost completely dry and no signs or symptoms of irritation or allergic reaction. Don't mind the redness on my kitty's ears she has been treated for that previously it is unrelated to the flea treatment. Also, I was only using this medication for prevention. She goes outside an hour a day, but my vet recommended preventative measures. Anyway, I would recommend this product because I have a good experience. I would say if your cat is particularly sensitive or has had skin issues or worries in the past to look for something more effective and not so cheap. All in all I think I will use it again for next month.
