Review: Great results and easy to do - I was really surprised when I received a package from Home Depot which turned out to be this order. Anyway, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when I decided to go for it and white wash my chimney. The chimney had an unfortunate amount of overspray from some bad painte jobs from previous owners. It was always an eyesore but I sometimes I cringe at brick houses that have been painted. I figured this was a better alternative to outright painting the chimney. The instructions say to mix 50/50 with water, dampen brick, apply paint with paint brush, then wait 10-60 minutes to rinse off. Wait longer for more paint to stick. Since I had no idea what I was doing, I started with a small area, painted and waited 20 minutes to rinse off. Basically all the paint came off and not what I was going for. This was on a 75F day and not in direct sunlight. I decided it would be too much trouble to try to paint sections of this chimney, wait, and wash so I decided to just paint it all. I let it dry for a couple of hours before hosing it down. At that point, not much of the paint washed away, it was too whitewashed, as you would expect. I found that taking a cloth and giving the brick some scrubbing removed enough paint to get the results you see in the pictures. I have received several compliments (and some complaints because brick is never to be painted in some people's minds). I'm really surprised it turned out as well as it did. It's been a couple of weeks since I've finished, without rain, and really nice weather so I can't say how it will look this time next year. For now, it looks really nice. Review: Super easy to use - I love the final job. I didn't have the easiest time using the huge brush because my lines were deep. I ended up using a small paint brush instead. I love how it turned out and it was super easy. Using a spray bottle I kept a 24 x 24 spot damp. And if I didn't like the thickness I just added another spray and went over it. I also used a damp rag after I was done to wipe the edges a bit to give the bricks a more aged look. The possibility of who yours will turn out are endless. It's super easy to work with!!

Easy to use
My wife purchased this product to refinish our brick fireplace. Easy to use and it came out great.

Love it! Works great, absorbs well into brick or stone
Used this for my fireplace chimney as the brick needs to breath or it cracks. This allows porous material to breathe and wick out water that might otherwise freeze and crack, but at the same time it helps repel excess water. It leaves a sort of chalky hard coating on the brick or stone. Depends how thick you put it on. Its easy to mix and once you find the ratio you prefer, just write down with a sharpie on the lid what water to lime ratio you like. Be sure to wet the surface well with a spray bottle of water or something before painting this on.

Spendy, but worth the money!
This is an amazing product and will transform old brick to an incredible new look. Don't forget to get the sealer also, or water run off can wear if off.
