Martinique 1:65,000 & Guadeloupe 1:100,000 Travel Map Map – Folded Map, May 2, 2011

Very useful map! There aren't many maps of Martinique that I could find (really, almost none that actually had good detail for driving), and so this was perfect for our driving around the island. It's very large, so the passenger in the car will be a bit buried, but the detail is worth it. Could use a bit more detailed road labeling, but all in all I was very impressed and would buy again.

The map appeared to have been on the shelf for a long time. Held together, just barely, for the 2 weeks we traveled on the Island. It was well detailed. showing all the little back roads that make travel exciting, and those had not been changed for many years. The new highways on the island are well marked so anyone can follow them easily, but we like to get off the main road, and a good map is essential. This one is real good, but the copy we were sent was so old and fragile that it was in pieces toward the end of our trip.

Visited Martinique and Guadeloupe in December 2013. Rented a car with GPS.....we were so lucky to have this map. Martinique and Guadeloupe may not seem very big from the US but unless you stay in the resorts, you are going to need a map. Martinique roads especially lack signs. We drove a lot and the GPS does not work outside of the main roads... where you don't need it.One note of caution however, you cannot go from Le Robert to St Pierre using the old Road Departementale 1. The road is shut off due to a landslide and the only way is to take the same road back ...not always quick when you know how steep some of the roads in Martinique are. The map does not show the interruption.

Written from a personal point of view. Does contain some valuable tips but not on par with a professional travel guide.

Earlier reviews had given this map a low rating, but I finally bought it anyway a few days before our recent trip to Martinique. The map was accurate and extremely helpful.

Poor quality paper on such a huge map leads to a short useful life. It tears quickly and easily along its seams

As this is the only map I found in English, it is perfect and I very much hope will be helpful!

Used this for Martinique summer 2014. I also got the usual tourist maps. There doesn't appear to many types of maps available but this one was the most detailed and useful. the tourist maps on the island are good for noting where the attractions are - BUT - frequently not quite in the right place so some hunting needed. The map here was good for navigating the roads. As Martinique is part of the EU and French, the road signs are not that good either - necessitating a decent map.

It's a very small scale, but then so is Tobago, which interested me. Not sure if I will keep it. If I can find a larger scale I won't.

The map itself was detailed enough for both islands. However, the quality of the paper was poor and it tore easily. It only just lasted the two week trip.

Schön ausführlich, nicht wasserfest was aber nicht so schlimm ist finde ich. City Karten sind dabei. Je Seite eine Insel (Vorder- und Rückseite). Besondere Plätze sind markiert und wem das zu wenig ist hat meiner Meinung nach eine falsche Einstellung bei Reisen. Es geht ja eher darum Plätze abseits der Touristenmassen zu finden.
