Works great - no padlock needed!
This item is sturdy and I have used it outside on my shed. I used to have a keyed lock and I’d have to bring the key but now I don’t. As other combination hasp lock commentators have noted, this is easy to reprogram, but you’ll probably lose the instructions and the little key thing, so just pick a good code. Who changes the combination anyway?

Neat, simple, low security
Great for creating a locking closet or drawer for your own things if you're sharing your home as an Airbnb or something similar. Establishes clear boundaries without being too obvious.

I put this on my my work cabinet. It's easy to install and works smoothly. Great especially for it's low price.

Lock won't open after a handful of uses. Cannot remove from door. :/
Great idea. Horrible execution, durability and long lasting issues when the lock no longer opens. After dealing with the issues from needing a depth difference on the doors I installed the lock, changed the lock to a combination I'd remember, used it less than 10 times, and am dealing with the ramifications of it no longer opening. The install was bad enough, but it has now turned into a huge issue. We are forced to either keep the doors locked or remove the screws on one side and have the lock hanging on the other as the screws for the combination side are covered by the lock. Not to mention the holes left for the failed product. I hope that the lock will eventually "give", but until that time this is a mess of a product and I wish I would have chosen differently. Buyer beware that the cool design idea is not worth the consequences when it fails for you.

Works as designed
Serves its purpose. Easy to set and use. Materials and lock has a decent weight to it. Feels like it will last. Definitely not a security lock that will prevent theft but it may slow someone down a bit

Proper lock for CD cabinet.
Love the brass finish. And it is very sturdy for security purposes. Cost was reasonable.

Very solid and does the job for my bi-fold door
I have a bi-fold door for a linen closet and I needed to keep my son out of there. This was easy to install across the center fold and absolutely keeps the closet shut now. The lock is easy to turn and open (if you know the combo!). My only suggestion would be too bad the dial numbers aren't a little bit bigger as they're a bit hard to see if you have subpar vision.

Absolutely rubbish
The media could not be loaded. Doesn't matter what code is put in. It will open.Looks good though
