Liking it so far
I thought it was made in the USA. I even looked up the company, Mecity. They must do some business in the United States, but the box and product both said Made in China! Nice look! Got black. Last coffee pot was also a single serve, but did not have a reservoir. Like this feature. Does not tell you when you are running low on water. Will literally give you half a cup. Will flash and make noise if you try to make a cup on an empty reservoir, though! Brews very quick. About one minute. About half the time as the last pot. Very clean. Does not splash out of the cup.. or drip after beeping sound that it is done!! Nice and hot! 3 sizes! You get used to which to use!! My husband and I use different sizes! Does Keurig and grounds and has an extra ‘grounds’ basket! I think it was supposed to be one for coffee and one for tea, but they both say tea. No big deal. (We use another pot for tea!) There is no line on basket for maximum amount of grounds. I have made 2 cups using one basket and it was fine. Auto shut off! Nice pot for the money! Hope it lasts! Have had about 2 weeks. Very satisfied so far!!

Super hot cup of coffee!
If you like hot coffee, this is the unit for you. I am astounded how hot a cup of coffee this thing makes. I usually enjoy a splash of creamer in my coffee and even after pouring cold creamer in my cup, the coffee is still quite hot. This unit has settings for 6, 8 or 10oz brews. I find that I don't get quite that full amount in my cup. This could be caused by the retention of liquid in the k-cup itself. However, I do get a consistent amount of coffee for each brew volume selected. I enjoy getting a 14oz cup of coffee from my darker roast k-cups. The nice thing about this unit is that I can select an 8oz cup and let it brew. Then once complete I can cycle the power and then select a 6oz brew to get my 14oz cup. What is nice is that I don't have to lift the lid on the k-cup itself between the two brew cycles. The 50oz reservoir is easy to fill. I like that I don't have to remove the tank from the unit to fill it. Simply removing the lid allows for the tank to be easily filled. I am using distilled water in my unit because my water is moderately hard. Harder water can destroy the boiler and supply lines in devices like this very quickly. So, if your water is even somewhat hard, I would suggest using distilled or bottled drinking water to ensure the longevity of your unit. The coffee maker almost immediately starts dispensing coffee once you hit the brew button. Then entire brew time takes about 1 to 2 minutes depending on the brew volume selected. One thing to be aware of with this unit is that there is a size limitation to the cup that can be used. Tall travel mugs will not fit under this unit at all. You will have to brew into a standard size cup and transfer it to your travel mug. Additionally, if you have large diameter cups, they might not fit under the unit very well. I have some pretty large diameter cups, but only the largest of the large wouldn't fit under the unit. Because this unit makes such a hot cup of coffee, it billows out a large amount of steam when brewing. This steam travels up the control panel and condenses a bit. I was initially worried that this steam condensation might cause problems with the control panel. However, after two months, I haven't had any issues. Besides k-cups, you can also brew your own ground coffee in the included k-cup adapter. This is a nice feature and works quite well. The only drawback to using the k-cup adapter is cleaning it out. Even after dumping most of the grounds in the trash, you are going to have to rinse some grounds down the drain cleaning the adapter out. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Mecity Coffee Maker. I think if you are looking to get a k-cup compatible machine, you should give the Mecity some serious consideration.

Beautiful, smart, fits, works.
Compact, efficient, fits on the counter. Easy to use. Makes great coffee. The water is just the right temp, and a little warmer than most coffee makers, which works well with most grounds. The only problem I encountered is the small reusable pods, like the short black and short purple ones, don't fit and won't work. I had a dozen, can't use them. they are going with the Kuerig that doesn't work for anythng but hot water now. I think it's the sensor, but I really didn't like the big bulky thing. I like this one immensely more.

Cute, inexpensive but has a few have-to-knows
I've been using my new coffeemaker for about 2 weeks now. I like it a lot. It's easy to use and I really like the removable water tank. It's slim and fits on that tiny counter next to my stove and I even bought a slim k-cup holder that sits along side it. I think it's a decent little coffeemaker for the price but here are the things that should be stated for others considering buying it: 1) I wish it came in more colors. I only saw pink and my kitchen isn't pink 2) On the front to make a selection in ounces, there are three cups with varying amounts of liquid in them. I had to look in the book to see how many ounces each one made and then I actually used a sharpe to put the numbers on them because when I need coffee, I have no brain. You can make 6, 8 and 10 oz drinks. I REALLY wish it came with 12 oz since most of my mugs are huge size. So I often will make a 8 and 6 which will fill my Sunwill coffee tumbler (using the same k-cup which is just fine). 3) Speaking of my Sunwill coffee tumbler, I have like 6 of these and it's what I use on work days. Unfortunately even if you remove the little riser insert, the Sunwill tumbler will not fit under the drip nozel. So...I have to use a large Pyrex measuring cup to dispense the coffee into and then pour it into my tumbler. And the area where the measuring cup goes for dispensing is pretty narrow so that doesn't even really fit well. I might have to go buy a special measuring cup. This is probably my biggest complaint. The Sunwill tumblers are not tall and I think a pretty standard size for coffee mugs so that they don't fit feels weird to me. And most mugs are too fat to fit in the narrow spot for dispensing. It's not a huge deal and I've found a work around but just wanted to put it out there. 4) You know the little hole where you put the k-cup? In this coffee machine, that little pieces comes out - maybe so you can wash it. That's fine but be aware that it's just a tiny bit tricky to get it back JUST RIGHT and it slips around a bit sometimes. And if you don't seat it properly, you're screwed because you'll put your k-cup in there and not be aware it's not seated right and the next time you brew, it'll make a huge mess and only brew about 4 oz of liquid. And you can't get it to work properly until you clean it all out (which is not easy) and seat that insert properly. This has happened 2x to me and ended up wasting those k-cups.
