Firstly, the plates are 11 inches, glazed and ceramic as described. There is no stamp of country of origin of manufacturer on the base of the plates. What country made them? There is no stamp or notation on the base of the plates that they are microwave safe. There is no stamp or notation on the plates that they are dishwasher safe. The base rim of the plates ( the part that sits on top of the table or on top of another plate when they are stacked) is NOT GLAZED, therefore the base rim is rough and scratches. You can see metallic scratching on the base rim where they sat in the kiln. The seller, "Nucookery" needs to answer these questions before buyers are confident they are safe to eat on. For the price the look is okay, although there are surface bumps in the ceramic. This is not a quality product overall. What can one expect for $ 4.50 a plate.

These dishes are basic white and great for entertaining. For the price I think they are a great value.

We are enjoying the new plates. It's very hard to find plates this size but these are just right.

Very nice for an "everyday" set to use in exclusion to your "finer" plateware. First package came damaged but second was completely undamaged. Only problem I have is that it is very lightweight; but that might be ideal for an older household.

Made a change to Christmas table and needed white table setting. These worked nice and looked great on the table. Dishwasher safe.

No labels or written safety assurances. Amazon description says microwave safe, but there is NOTHING on the bottom of the plates. Are they lead-free? The plates are very attractive and reasonably priced, but the complete absence of labels and printed matter is a real concern.
