This laser measuring tool seems to work well for things like measuring things like a room, but it seemed to be slightly inaccurate for measuring things under 1 foot. Make sure you are paying attention to whether the measuring point is set for the point where the laser comes out, or the back of the measuring tool. It is nice that you can set it for either option. In the case of measuring a floor or wall, you will want to set the tool to start measuring from the back of the tool. That way you don't need to know the length of the tool itself. The screen is nice and bright, and could easily be viewed in a dark room. I would highly recommend this tool for the job it's made for, which is measuring a room, floor, or wall.

The description of the product in the advertisement is accurate.Pros:+ accuracy was about ±1/16inch;+ good for distance measurements;+ electronic angle finder works well;+ the green laser dot was nice and bright inside;Cons:- There is a learning curve;- Electronic. You’ll have to coddle this and not just toss it in the bucket with your other tools;- I often get different results for the same measurement. Now the measurement is not off by much but I find myself taking the measurement 3,4,5 times to get a number I "feel" is correct and that doesn’t set well with me…so I pull out the manual tape measure to verify. (:.- Outside during mid-day under sun I was having problems finding the dot and getting mixed results.Be prepared for the learning curve to get the best use of this tool.

I ordered the Aicevoos Laser Measure Tool for my husband, not realizing this is a very complex piece of equipment. I thought it was just an electronic tape measure, which is it, but it is really so much more than that. The tool is very small, fitting into the palm of your hand or pocket, with an approximate measurement of 4.5 x 2 x 1 inches and a light weight of 7.06 ounces. It is comprised of a plastic housing with reinforced textured plastic on the bottom corners. It comes with 3 AAA batteries, a manual, a hand strap and a case. The laser measure tool has a 2.4 inch backlit screen to help you see the screen regardless of lighting, and has six buttons/keys on the front. A start/on button, function, continuous maximum/minimum measurement, switch measurement unit (including measure reference), record view/record switch, off/clear, and on broadcast for plus-minus.The laser is a class two green beam which is supposed to be four times brighter than a red laser, due to it's smaller wavelength and higher frequency. This unit also includes an angle measurement, which is an unusual feature and a nice bonus. The screen shows the battery level, data group number, type of measurement, (distance, length, volume), the angle, up to four measurements, and the measure reference (consider/not consider self length option). That said, it does come with an actual manual, rather than having to look up the information on the Internet. The item works well and I like fact it came with a hand strap and case. It's compact size and weight make it easy to use and carry and I love the fact it takes batteries. If the manufacturer wanted to make this item a home run, they could add a rubberized protection strip around the the entire unit to protect it just in case you dropped it. But at this price point, who can really whine? Five stars.

Once you get the hang of it, it works great! Very compact and lightweight, too.

Great unit with an awesome feature. They retained measurements on the display is so helpful. I bought this as a backup to my big old-school Bosch unit, but like it so much it became the EDC. The only drawback is battery life is much lower than the Bosch. I would go a year with the Bosch (4 AAA batteries) and can only get maybe a month with this one (3 AAA batteries). And there is no indication they are low, no reduced screen brightness, nothing, just working, then not. But It works so well I keep it in the pouch anyways!

I’ve tested it with my tape measure and it’s accurate. Good value for money.
