Easy to assemble using my own tools not the ones that came with it, only criticism is that one of the pistons was set on 12 and I had to fight to get it down to 1 where I wanted it, I'm a 70 year old woman trying not to loose to much muscle not build them up. So far I have no complaints with it in use, it does just what I wanted

so got this product in good time though setting up was a waste of time as there are no bots/ screws ect to put together going by the box its been around the block but not damaged or looking like it was open, its a shame was looking forward to this trying to do a return is a nightmare as amazon fails to collect! but that's amazon

Serious design fault, where far end of each hydraulic piston attaches to the base. The nut-&-bolt works loose from time to time, which makes the machine useless until it can be fixed - and fixing it is a real fiddly business. Here's the problem: the nut-&-bolt that works loose is the one that attaches the laterally double-perforated U-shaped fitting through its base to the similar, inverted U-shaped one beneath, that's welded to the main, big U-shaped base itself. To fix the problem you have to unbolt the piston from the upper U to access the nut-&-bolt and assorted washers that need refixing to the inverted U. This manoeuvre needs an allen key for the bolt and a small spanner that is the exact shape to hold the nut and washer beneath. It also needs patience, dexterity, time and ideally two people. This is because the nut and washer must be held above the main base if the bolt is to engage with it, and that is very difficult to do with one hand while turning the allen key in the top of the bolt with the other. At this point, if you try to tackle the repair on your own, especially if the spanner is not quite the right size or shape, or the washer keeps sliding off, or you're tired, or aching from bending down to do the job on the floor, or the light level is too low to let you see everything clearly, the temptation is very strong to sling the whole contraption out the window, or at least take to the dumpster at the next opportunity. But I wouldn't take all this trouble to explain the problem as clearly as I can if I felt there was no hope of getting some technical advice from Leike themselves or, failing that, from someone who has come up with a way of preventing the problem or of fixing it quicker than I have been able to. Neither would I have bothered with this review if I didn't think this problem could be overcome by the Leike designers, or that the rower itself is in every other respect a good piece of equipment. But the far-end piston-attachment problem is a serious one, and the nut-&-bolt element cries out for a solution. I will be posting this review far and wide to help make that happen.

I am not young anymore and with a total knee replacement and a lower back injury I was looking for an all round, compact exercise equipment and regime. This is actually perfect for all round exercise. It was relatively easy to assemble with my own tools. The rower is close to the ground so I place a chair at the seating end and lower myself down and with a little manouvering I am in place to row. Resistance range is very good and action is smooth and constant. To get up I place my hands on the chair again and lift myself to a seating position. Great workout.

Minimum 15min workout is recommended. This machine is not for weight/fat loss... It's full body intense workout.

I wasn’t expecting too much when I ordered this machine. Just something to burn some calories while the TV babbled on. I’ve owned a series of rowing machines in the past, and rowing is my thing. The expensive ones are sometimes poorly machined with poor fitting parts and the cheap ones are flimsy. This was neither. When assembled it produces a rowing action that actually mimics real rowing…rather than other machines where you are just pulling a handle to your chest and repeating. Sturdy and well crafted. Easy to assemble with clear instructions (took about 45 mins). I was pleasantly surprised in all aspects with this product. I use it every day. I would definitely buy it again.
