The best Chana Masala if you want the authentic taste of Chandni Chowk in Pakistani spices
The best Chana Masala there is ...bought it first in Dubai and made the Chickpea when we got back to India.It was fabulous...Just like the Chola u get in chandni chowk. OBVIOUSLY SOME ADJUSTMENTS HAVE YOBBE MADE ...increase the heat for example. For all the people who have given negative reviews....please keep in mind that chickpeas in india are usually had with Bhatura,Poor or rice ..it is not eaten on its own ...so the saltiness is offset by that. All Shan masalas have a little extra salt so if you are not used to desi spices u need to adjust accordingly. But as an Indian...I have yet to find better tasting masalas.

Shan have a really good product range. Much better than anyone else out there. Ads flavor and taste to your chana dishes.

The shan spice mixes are such a great cheat - I have used them for years to make authentic tasting indian food (an indian colleague recommended them to me). The chana masala is a particular favourite. I'm surprised at the negative reviews because when I cook this it always goes down a storm. It is a cheap and easy way to create a delicious chickpea curry because you don't have to have a cupboard full of spices - the exact blend needed has already been created. It is quite salty but I like that for chana masala; I don't find it too much. I always have a box of this in the cupboard.

I usually like Shan spices. This blend is soooo salty, spoilt the food.
