I have to use a night guard for clenching my teeth, and no matter what I do or how I clean it, it always has an unpleasant odor. I've followed my dentist's instructions on cleaning it, and I've tried soaking it in hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and drug store denture cleaning tablets. Nothing worked. But after just one use of this product, the smell was gone! Even after using my night guard overnight, when I woke up this morning (after soaking it before bed last night), I could still taste and smell the minty fresh clean smell instead of the usual morning odor! My daughter’s retainers for her mouth get extremely dirty. These retainer cleaner tablets for her Invisalign and nightly retainers. Work wonders. They are so easy to use, every morning. I have her fill a glass with warm water, dissolve a tablet in it and then add her mouthpieces in it. Most of the time by lunchtime they are cleaned without any scrubbing needed. Sometimes we will wait for the blue water to turn clear again and then take them out give it a little rub for a couple seconds and they are like new. They have a fresh slightly minty smell to them, so there is no lasting effect when you put it back in your mouth when they are clean. We use them a couple times a week. The box lasted a very long time.

Very good cleaner. Good price. I took off one star because each tablet is individually packaged and not easy to open. This adds an extra step and creates unneeded waste for a process that I hope will save time and effort to my morning routine.

I was looking for another tablet option for the Zima Dental Pod for my night guard , as the Zima tablets are rather expensive. I saw this item on Amazon and read the favorable reviews.....I opted to try it. I have been very pleased....the tablets dissolve quickly, and the night guard appears to be as clean and fresh as with the Zima tablets, at a much reduced cost. I would highly recommend them....don't hesitate.....Buy It!!!

I repurchase these OFTEN. They keep my retainer clean and I love that they aren't super messy. The tablet dissolves fast and its very easy to use.

Short version: These are amazing and saved me from spending $100 on new retainers I rarely give five stars but these tablets are actually amazing. I've been wearing a plastic Invisalign style retainer at night for years and I'm not sure if I could reorder replacement retainers from the same place I got the original ones, over the years my retainers got so disgusting that I was worried I would have to pay $100 for a new set, if it would even be possible to get replacements. I tried everything - soap and warm water, dish soap, even an ultrasonic cleaner. Nothing worked. These tablets are literally the only thing that have ever worked on cleaning my retainers. My retainers were starting to get a grayish yellow tint and there was what almost looked like plaque buildup around some of the gum lines. I threw my retainers into a glass mason jar with warm water and two of these tablets the first use, and I would say sitting throughout the day, two tablets cleaned about 50% of my retainers. Which is amazing considering they had not been adequately washed in about 2 years. Nothing else removed stains or crud buildup and I was disappointed that I would probably have to throw my retainers away and get a new set (which might have even meant an orthodontist visit to get new molds). Two days in a row of doubling up these tablets plus warm water literally made my retainers look brand new after years of disgusting buildup. And yes, I brush my teeth before bed and before putting in my retainers. Build up happens. But these tablets are legitimately awesome and I use them every day now. If you wear retainers, you should consider these tablets a necessity just like toothpaste and a toothbrush. Parents of kids or teens who wear Invisalign or nightly retainers, please buy these for your kids. Pros: + Tablets and packets are a good size. They come in sleeves that you can tear apart if you want a smaller storage size. + Super easy to use. Add warm water to a container, open one of the packs, and throw a tablet in the water. + Affordable (I know spending $15 or $20 on retainer cleaners might seem silly, which is why I put off this purchase for months, but keeping your retainers in good condition will save you the money of replacing/buying new retainers) + There are a lot of tablets in each box, each box comes with multiple sleeves and each sleeve has multiple tablets. It's basically a rectangle sleeve with six tablets and a perforation between each tablet, so you can break these down into single serve little pieces if you need to throw one or two tablets in a toiletry bag or your purse. You don't have to store the sleeves in the box if you don't have space. Cons - Nothing really
