"I'm going to pass out...in a good way"---Tony Horton
Interval X Plus seems to be a substitute for Plyometrics for P90x grads. As Tony says in his intro, "Interval work is a lot more effective than standard cardiovascular exercise." Plyo is one of my favorite workouts, so I did not look forward to replacing it. This workout is only 41:30 minutes and thankfully so because it is HARD! I had to give myself extra breaks the first time I did it. There is only one break in the middle, I feel this workout needs more little breaks while the Kenpo workouts need fewer breaks, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of Intervals.Intervals keep the heart rate moving up and down because you are moving at three different speeds. Your "rest" is doing a move at a less intense level for 20 seconds, then you pick it up for the next 20 and go full tilt for the last 20 seconds. After one move you go immediately to the next move at 20 seconds easy pace and so on. You also do Core Synergistic moves like Loading Dock and 3 Count and 3-Way Push Ups (I HATE those!) which adds to the intensity. After a minute break, you do the same moves again but in the opposite order, so you do the 3-Way push-ups back-to-back! Ugh! This workout is probably effective as heck, but I dread it! I will add this workout to my rotation once in a while to mix things up, but I will continue to do Plyo more often. The Abs/Core Plus routine is great! It is 20 minutes, so it is a little longer than Ab Ripper X, but it is over in a flash because there are so many different moves you do and in different positions. You do an exercise hanging from a pull-up bar, then standing with or without light weights, then in a push-up position, and then in a sitting position. Each block of moves includes exercises in all four positions, so there is a lot of variety. It is effective, too! Unlike with P90X, you do this extra ab workout on a cardio day which is a nice change of pace.

Great workout way overpriced
Why would you pay $45 when you could have the whole P90X+ (4 videos) for $60? Also, the picture provide makes this sale look like a bootleg copy. The workout is a 4.5 or 5 start, and the price is a zero.

A good, efficient cardio alternative for P90X
There isn't anything fancy about this workout - it's pretty bare bones interval training with complex (multi-muscle) movements. However, if you like Tony's style and you're willing to push yourself a bit, you might like rotating this workout into your P0X schedule or another similar routine. I use it as an alternative to Kenpo X or Plyo X, partly because it's a bit lower impact than Plyo, and partly just to mix things up a bit.The two people who join Tony in this workout both demonstrate very good form and are good models to follow. For several exercises, one of them demos a modification of some sort. The workout basically consists of 15 full-body cardio exercises, each of which you do for one minute. There are no breaks between exercises. After the first 15 minutes, you get a short water break, and then you repeat the same 15 exercises but in reverse order.

Love love
Very challenging but worth every penny. Love how you perform the exercises in reverse - you start and end with the same

An efficient and intense workout
I love all things P90X, so of course I had to get the P90X Plus workouts. I had a bit of buyer's remorse though, since I could never figure out how to incorporate them into my workout routines. I don't like total body workouts and prefer to do splits. This wasn't as much of an issue with this workout since it's easier to fit cardio and core into a routine. This is 41 minutes of interval training. You do 3 levels of a move, an easy level, intermediate one and an all out one. What I loved about this workout:**the time flies by and before you know it, you're drenched in sweat, feeling those endorphins and done with the workout.**the background set really fits the tone of the workout. It's that of an old-style gym.**the super-fit background exercisers, Tracie Morrow and Mark Briggs. I love watching them! They are both ultra-fit and look like they're having fun! Only a true exercise fanatic can have fun doing this intense exercise.**the 20 minute core routine. P90X Plus has you doing core on your cardio days and not on your weight training days, which is a nice change. The core exercisers are very different and fun. I don't have a pull-up bar, so I use a bosu instead.**the trainer track for the core routine. It's very helpful to hear those extra form pointers, since these exercises are so different from what I'm used to. The reminders are also good when you're fatigued from a prior workout and your form starts to slip. The only thing that I would have changed about this workout:**the music is blah. I wish there was more of a driving beat; that's what inspires me to work more intensely. There is music off option, so you can use your own music, but I can't be bothered. In spite of these two minor issues, I really enjoyed this workout. I highly recommend this workout to anyone wanting a challenging and different cardio and core workouts.
