Black beans are a small, dark variety of common beans, especially prominent in Latin American cuisine Review: Great value - Arrives in a thick plastic bag inside of a cardboard box. If you do not plan on using the entire bag at once, then place them in sealed containers for later use. Produce is of high quality, and once softened they cook up very well. I did not encounter problems in their delivery or overall usage. I highly recommend this product. Enjoy the many ways to use them in your diet. You will not be disappointed. Review: Great - Great product and fast shipping

Great Beans
I make batches of beans in my instant pot and freeze for later. These are tasty, cook in 18 min if soaked overnight and seem fresh. I store the rest in vacuum sealed mason jars.

A lot of dried chick peas.
Bulk is where its at especially when you want to be prepared. This came well packaged. It is just that, 10 pounds of dried chick peas. I am satisfied of the product. Chick peas are so versatile, you can literally use them for such a variety of meals. I recommend.

Delish but pricey - save ur money & buy cheaper
updated basic review for this brand & all others ive bought here entire bag cooked well w/o any rotten ones at least not a noticable amount of floaters (like more than 10 to 20 etc like any builk beans) have tried nearly all the brands on amazon for dried garbanzos all taste about the same only rand had about 1/4 bag was bad but ive also orded rand twice & first bag had no issues (8 lb bags) this bbrand grown in WA is tasty but not any more so than the cheapest ones and not any worse than the most expensive ones what matters more i think is: quality of water how long you soak and putting in the time i do to boil them remove gas / foam add fresh water repeat until water runs / boils clear for 4 to 6 lbs of dried beans this takes me around 2 hrs at full boil in a 12 qt stockpot the chickpeas always turn out just about the same in flavor, taste when i cook this way i even used north carolina tap water for a recent batch and turned out fine albeit not as good as the ones i had done before with flouride free gravity filtered water the point? just buy the cheapest bulk dried garbanzo beans & take the time to boil em rite & you;ll be fine (if your stomach aint bothered by the gas then you could just boil w/ the foam/gas and/or buy canned chickpeas) but for best flavor, dried is the only way to go (*outside of buying fresh obviously i like my chickpeas to be butter soft hence the longer boiling & removing the gas allows my stomach to handle them in bulk w/o issues btw garbanzos are the easiest beans to digest for those like me sensitive to the gas from beans i do commend this brand for their values on sustainable etc etc but they are out of my budget for now old review below Received late march 2023 stored in my apt until opening the bag last weekend - july 12ish no rotton smell or antying despite my apt bine 80 to 82 or more at times (live in hot climiate) cannot speak to bugs as i never looked for them but in a clear plastic bag i figured i wouldve noticed lol they cooked well i only soaked one batch 8 hours and another about 16 hours didnt really matter time difference in batches soaked in 12 quart stock pot about 6 cups - filled to top of filtered water changed out water acouple times cooking: i strained the beans added basck to 12 qt pot filled to nearly 2 inches from brim water heated to boiling then kept 3/4 high temp as in med-high to high heat -just a few turns away from full hottest heat on my electric burner stove as it boiled i scooped away the gaseous foam that is released over a ocpule of hours just kep adding fresh water about midway i changed out water and startevd again to boil eventually, very little creamy white foam is released strained beans to let cool off i still need to cook them as they're not soft enough for my perference but i roast in toaster oven for 30 minutes to hour 300 to 450 yup an hour is too long lol anyways theyt're good and dont give me stomach issues like other brands did but theyre soooo oexpensive i will try brand half the cost to see if there is a differnce i also tried the washington state gronwn brand that sellls in burlap bag i hope this brands chickpeas (this product being reviewed) will make dlish channa masala! verdict? they do eventually release most of their gas problem which others never did that is a huge plus still....im going to buy another cheeaper brands(s) again to see if it was cook error before...

Very nice
Finally got a chance to eat some of these chickpeas the other night (had a small amount of prior stock to use up first). Made some fabulous hummus. Cooked up tender and creamy, perfect for this dish. Very pleased with this purchase.
