Is this just one box or is it a pack of 8 boxes?

Since I did not order my candy online, I'm not certain since I'm not looking at the seller's listing. I bought mine in a grocery store near Philadelphia, PA where the candy manufacturer is located. There are 8 eggs in a box, so I would assume that the seller is selling ONE box of 8 eggs. Look to see if they are available at a retail store in your area. Check Zitner's website for a list of retail sellers. I paid $4.99 for a box of 8 (reg. retail price). Once you have had these, you won't settle for any other brand, unless you have a small independent (family run) handmade candy store in your area.

Are these milk-free? i.e. nondairy?

don't know if they are 'milk free', but when I rec'd my pkg it looked like the box had been stepped on.

Do you only get 8 eggs. Are they really big? Because that's a lot of money

There are eight eggs per package. Way back when\, these came in a cardboard tray in a fairly substantial cardboard box, but now they're shipped ina flimsy plastic tray in an equally flimsy box. Recommend buyin these in November thru Early January to have some chance of getting them in one piece, rather than smashed flat. ALSO: I f discoloured, apply for a return/refund at once. The flavour will NOT be as you'd expect and appearance can be offsetting. Other than that, a disappointment.
