Data captures can be triggered from either of the following: (1) Rising edge, (2) Falling edge, (3) Pos pulse, (4) Neg pulse, (5) Specific protocol frame. Can I get unlimited memory depth by using pc memory? If so what is the sample rate?

The capture buffer is in PC memory. You can be rate limited by the USB if you are capturing many channels at high rate especially analog channels. The new beta software scan show you the waveform as it's captured with some limitations. In use it routinely to capture long periods of medium speed serial channels.

The list of protocols includes usb but specifically says usb 1.1. am i to assume this cannot decode usb 2.0? and why not?

Saleae Logic Pro 16's maximum sampling rate is 500 MS/s per channel, for up to 6 channels. Therefore, it is not capable of decoding USB 2.0 (running at 480 Mbps) due to bandwidth limitations. However, it is still able to decode USB 1.1/Full-Speed (12 Mbps) and USB 1.0/Low-Speed (1.5 Mbps).

Not impressed at all

It is shiny, heavy, flex color-coded cables with clips and a carrier case. However, the application lacks fundamental functions like repeatable triggers as well as protocol triggers. The other USB LAs could provide these functions for less than £100.
