One of the first massive hit rock 'n' roll soundtracks that helped propel the corresponding film to greater success thanks to the music included here. Includes tracks from Ace Soundtrack composer Barry Devorzon (Nadia's Theme AKA Theme to the Young and the Restless), Genya Ravan, legendary songwriter Desmond Child (Sans Rouge), former James Gang guitarist and future Eagle Joe Walsh, future James Taylor backup singer Arnold McCuller and more. The Ultimate Director's Cut was just released on DVD and Rockstar Games (Grand Theft Auto) released the Warriors video game based on the movie. A remake of the movie is set to be released in 2006. Still the utter classic it always will be..
And what is more important, does not make the unbelievable and incredible decision made in the Directors cut to edit out the end to the strains of 'In the City'.All we now need is a version with the original start and the song ' I'm a fugitive' as well as 'no where to run'Great.

Great soundtrack
While the tracks in this collection are not as instantly recognisable to the masses as other films from around the same time, that does not make this a bad soundtrack. Barry de Vorzon's themes suit the film perfectly, and the other tracks compliment the action well. The compilation moves along at a good pace and never gets boring. The tracks all work together well as a collection and while it may not be a CD to put on in the car with the kids in the back there is something appealing about it that I can't quite put my finger on, it could be intensity. It's worth a listen even if you haven't seen the film, although if you have then you will get much more out of it.

A Classic Kitsch Soundtrack
Nostalgia plays its part here but the music genuinely does stand up and is eminently listenable without the glorious cult film being viewed (although that it is advisable too!). Great value.
