Word Cloud Classics: Horror Collection Flexibound – July 16, 2024

Where was this beautiful boxed collection when I was a child? A mere small wicked child with a morbid sense of humor? With a strange fascination for the grotesque and macabre? I was ever so delighted to receive them. The original Horror history for which Hollywood has mocked and repeatedly attempted to copy-failing ever so miserably. Alas to my dismay, I was forced to return them, for the print was much too petite. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

These books are beautiful! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this collection did not let me down. The covers feel amazing, I love the gradient from dark to light. Mine are very well put together, no marks or scratches, the box is in perfect condition and the binding seems really strong. Cannot wait to get these on my shelves! Absolutely beautiful books can’t recommend them enough!

I just finished reading one of them. The books are great, not harscover as it's a flexible type of cover which looks great though with the 3D effect of the artwork. And it's a great way to have some classic spooky season books to read.

These are beautiful. Worth it, buy it!

I really can't say how well they will hold up, but these will mostly likely get read through 2-3 times each at most, so feel they will be good for that. They look very cool on the shelf, I took them out of the cheesy cardboard display.....they are very soft, durable covers, great design and artwork. Can't wait to get reading some of these classics I've always wanted to! My only minor complaint is that the Poe book is much lighter that the others, doesn't quite blend as well, but very cool cover as well, and for the price, very happy overall.

I love Flexi bound books. I wish more books came out in this version.This collection looks great, aside from the cheesy word cloud covers. that concept already feels very dated to me.All the artwork is Generic Spooky Images. There are no recognizable characters, just castles, howling wolves, moonlit forests, etc. The books themselves are all in the public domain. You can tell this edition was produced on the cheap.With all that in mind, everything from the binding, paper, printing, etc seem to be high quality.

Set has a nice little box to keep them in. The covers feel like rubber and have engravings which gives it a nice horror sensory feeling while reading.This is a great addition to any collection of horror stories.

I love the way these look on the shelf. However, I was looking forward to actually reading them as well. This has required me to purchase a magnification bar, which makes me feel downright geriatric. It's a great collection of stories, but I really wish they had been printed in a size that doesn't require such measures to actually read.
