Great product. I love the fact that I can recharge the battery (usb C).Easily fits into your pocket.

I own about a dozen Olight flashlights. Every model has more than exceeded my expectations. I will keep on buying this brand. One note about this model. I've had it turn on in my pocket. This has not happened with any other Olight I own. However, I learned if you push and hold the button, it will lock it against accidental turn ons.

The Olight Diffuse is an innovative design for a pocket flashlight. The pentagonal body shape prevents rolling around on a surface. The flashlight is powered by any Lithium Ion 14500 3.7v battery; the one that is included is USB-C rechargeable - but the Diffuse supports all AA cell types with reduced but adequate output for everyday use, but no strobe. When powered by the 14500 cell, the power button is surrounded by a 3 color changing illuminated strip that indicates charge level (green, orange, red; but with standard 1.5v AA cells, it's always red, of course). This is arguably the most battery flexible light made by Olight, but 3.7v LithIon 14500 cells are necessary to deliver the power of the Diffuse, while NiMH and LiFeS AA cells only provide "ordinary" illumination.The 5 modes (plus strobe) range from a 1 lumen "moonlight" (good for searching for something in your tent at night) to a brief (heat limited) 700 lumen "turbo" (incredibly bright) with steps in between of 10, 50, and 350 lumens (10 and 50 probably the levels you'd use most often). A double click from off or any on state brings up Turbo; A triple click from any off or on any on state brings up a 700 lumen bright strobe (good for defending yourself - the end cap takes a provided lanyard for helping to keep the light in hand). The light has an easy to use lock/unlock method as well.The light is quite attractive and "lipstick sized" for ease of carry in pocket or purse. The Diffuse makes a good gift for anyone.

This is my second Olight flashlight and I've been pleased with the quality so far. Have to say this Diffuse model is great for running at night. It's so small and light weight. Probably my only gripe is that the instructions are not clear about how to get into moonlight mode. Had to look for a YouTube video that explained it. Here's the TLDR..If you do a single press when the flashlight is off, it will go into whatever mode you were in previously.Moonlight - When the flashlight is off, press and hold the button. The power button does not illuminate. That's when you know it's in moonlight mode.Low, Medium, High - When the flashlight is on, press and hold the button and it will step through the different modes. Except moonlight.. You can only do this when the flashlight is off.Turbo - When the flashlight is either on or off, double-press and you'll go into Turbo mode.Strobe - When the flashlight is either on or off, triple-press and you'll go into Strobe mode.Triple pressing is kinda tricky. If you don't do it fast enough, it will go into Turbo mode. Wish it had a longer delay period between presses. Maybe I need to play more videogames to improve my button pressing speed.

This thing is blindingly bright for how small and cheap it is. I was a little disappointed at first, but there's multiple brightness settings you can switch between by double-clicking.I was a little confused by how you recharge it at first, before realizing the double-a battery inside has a USB-C port in the side of the battery itself. Which is... Incredibly weird, but it works well.It also has a strobe mode that's incredibly violent, so... You can blind an entire park if you like, I guess.It's built super well, feels heavy and sturdy in the hands, battery cover is tight and feels water-tight (haven't tested, just super tight with an o-ring). I've got no worries about dropping it and having it break.Solid flashlight, definitely a good thing to have in your purse/bag!

Works as expected

I have purchased numerous lights from the light brand before without any issues. This light has decent output for a small package and offers a rechargeable battery. This is a perfect every day carry light as it fits in almost any size pocket and will not weight down you pants or shorts.

Finally a true keep it in your pocket all the time flashlight. Amazingly useful — and astonishingly bright at the highest setting. I like it so much I bought one for each of my sons and sons-in-law for Christmas presents. (Guess I need to get one for each of my daughters and daughters-in-law too, huh?)
