What is the length and width of the cast iron bed plus control box (on/off control)?

I use my lathe at work which is somewhere i havnt been for a month. When i get back,i'll get the details. This lathe is made in China and can be found under different 'makers labels ',even Axminster was selling one identical so you might find the details you want on another site. Be warned that the Holtzmann has a 32mm thread at the headstock which might limit you on accessories. Holtzmann are a supplier of the lathe only so chucks etc have to be found elsewhere, like at Axminster. Will get back to you.

Is it possible to download owners manual in English so I get acquainted with the machine while waiting for arrival?

The manual that comes with this lathe is in English. One problem I have with this lathe is that it did not come with a 4 sided chuck. The problem was one of translation between German and English so beware. I was offered £50 pound as compensation - which i acceped. I have had the lathe for 8 weeks and very happy with it. Great Fun

what thread size is head stock

It's 32mm. It's a bit limiting on what is available but i found a 4 jaw self centering chuck from Axminster tools.

No you dont. I got one from Axminster tools. SK100 but there are others. Remember,it has a 32mm thread on the headstock,so i think you are restricted on choice. Dont bother asking Holtzmann. They only supply the lathe. If you hadnt noticed,there are several lathes around that look strikingly similar except the paint job. They are,and are all made in China! The lathe has been very good for its type. The variable speed has been very useful.I'm not looking forward to changing the belt as you have to remove the shaft and bearing. Until then,i'm happy .
