Good product. It's fiddly but if you have patience and follow the video and do an extra bit of YouTube research you'll have yourself a new key at a fraction of the cost of an original replacement. I used my original blade which needed a bit of attention with a Dremel to fit.

The kit worked well but had to google how to swap over the internal circuit as no instructions. The pin punches are not hardened and the end of the punch did bend but it did the job and I only needed it once. The kit does not come with pliers to assist separating the fob body to get to the electronics so I had to purchase some circlip pliers. The circuit exchange fitted perfectly. The replacement fob has a key blank that either needs cutting or you can simply replace with your existing key by knocking out the holding pin with the punch but you will need a small hammer. I had to modify the tang slightly using the supplied file as I could not get the holes to line up for the replacement pin supplied. It took about 30 minutes to make the filing adjustment and the new pin was tapped in and secured the key to the body. This purchase was for a VW but I also purchased a fob for a Vauxhall insignia The Vauxhall kit was the easiest and fitted perfectly with no adjustments and only took 10 minutes to exchange. The fobs look and feel identical to the manufacturers fobs and I saved lots of money doing it myself but the VW did require a bit more work time and effort for the adjustments. Best tip is to google and watch videos on how to exchange the key fob electronics and separate the fob body’s. You will need a small hammer and some circlip pliers to prize the fob body apart. If you have patience and some basic diy skills then I recommend this product

Very good quality, plenty of tools to assist fitting. Very good, I would use this seller again and recommend. I hunted around on YouTube to get ideas, perhaps upload your own video to support customers.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Instructions, Cheap Tools, and Fit Issues I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to with this product. I bought this replacement key after my original VW key snapped—apparently a common fault. I was hoping for a quick and easy fix, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The included instructional video was unhelpful. It’s too fast to follow and lacks clear, detailed guidance. Worse still, the tools provided are extremely cheap and poor quality. While trying to open the key using these, I ended up damaging it. I later found a much better video on YouTube where someone used proper tools—ironically, tools I already own. If that had been mentioned upfront, I could’ve avoided the frustration and breakage. Once I finally got the key open, I discovered the internal barrel didn’t fit properly. The product description failed to mention that there are two different barrel sizes and that this key only includes one—not both. That would’ve been helpful to know before buying. In the end, I managed to piece everything together and the key does work. However, the flip mechanism is unreliable and often sticks, which makes it feel even cheaper. This could be a decent product with clearer instructions, better quality tools, and a more accurate description. But as it stands, I can’t recommend it.

Video makes it super easy and convenient to do on your own. Was quoted £200 for new car key so this was a great and super simple alternative. Great value for money and works perfectly. Looks exactly the same as my previous key too.

Fiddly to fit but that’s the nature of what you’re doing. Tools supplied and video guide really helped. Quality really good, and saved me a fortune having to get a new OEM fob

Tools are very handy. It's a good fit however I still had to file down the end of the original key blade to get it to fit in the key slot, as my original key blade was too thick. Also I dont know why the fob comes assembled when you then have to split the two fob shell halves apart and take out the split pin to remove the blank key blade which is difficult to do without marking it. It would be easier if it was already in two halves and the blank key blade was not held in with the split pin so I could just add my old key blade and PCB and then pop it all together. One other thing is remember to twist the button spring 360 degrees with the top half of the fob housing before clicking it together otherwise there won't be enough tension on the spring to flip out the key when you press the button.

Excellent produit, la qualité est parfaite et une fois remplacement terminé, on dirait une clé d'origines. Livré sans instructions, mais cherchez "FasterAutoKeys vw fob replacement" sur YouTube pour un tutoriel permettant de le faire simplement. 15 minutes chrono et très simple. J'ai utilisé un étau pour tenir la pièce métallique où s'insère l'ancienne clé (le temps de forcer l'insertion en tapotant au marteau), mais la lime livrée avec doit permettre de réduire légèrement l'épaisseur de la clé d'origine pour la faire rentrer plus simplement.

Avec Les broches d’extraction fournies et apparemment de bonne qualité. Plus pratique pour remplacer la lame Livré en 2 jours et avec 1 jour d’avance (provenance d’Angleterre).... bravo au vendeur et bravo au service amazon

Ce n'est pas un boitier pour T4 de plus il n'y en a qu'un et pas 2, quant aux outils ... quel intérêt?
