I couldn’t be happier with this double din 7” car stereo! It packs a ton of features at an unbeatable price. The wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly, and the QLED display is sharp and vibrant. I love the USB screen mirroring, built-in amplifier, and the fully adjustable equalizer and loudness settings — great for fine-tuning the sound. Although I haven’t installed the included 1080p backup camera yet, it’s a fantastic bonus. Installation was a breeze, and customizing the boot logo and wallpapers via USB was simple with quick support from PLZ — their customer service responds within 24 hours or less. Overall, this stereo gets so many things right — easily the best choice for a double din setup. Highly recommend!

I recently installed the **PLZ 7" Wireless Double Din Car Stereo (MP-928W)** in my **Ford Expedition EL XLT**, and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the performance and features of this unit!#### 📦 **Installation Experience**The installation process was straightforward, but like with any aftermarket stereo, it required some effort to wire everything properly. I used **heat shrink tubing and soldering** to ensure a strong, long-lasting connection. The included wiring harness worked well, though I did have a couple of **unused wires** that the instructions didn’t mention (notably the **Blue/White wire**). The **Violet/White wire** was for the backup camera, which I figured out later.For mounting, I used the **Metra Double Din Dash Kit**, but it didn’t quite fit perfectly. I had to **remove the top plastic trim from the stereo and modify the dash kit** by cutting the four end pieces that were preventing the unit from sitting flush. This wasn’t an issue with the stereo itself—just a compatibility quirk with my particular dash kit.I also added a **USB 3.0 port** by replacing an old, unused **cigarette lighter socket**, which allowed me to neatly connect the rear USB cable from the PLZ head unit.#### 🎵 **Sound Quality – A Huge Upgrade!**My Expedition has a **premium factory sound system with a 160W amp**, and I used the correct wiring harness to retain my amp and **RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system**. Installed in a Motorcoach and sounds much much better than the original.2-camera inputs, USB, SD, Video, etc. Nice big screen image (clear) with dimmer feature and apps at a touch. Great so far. Easy to use, easy to set up. The instructions were fairly clear and straight-forward, and installation was a breeze. The radio fit great once I removed the small tabs on the side (I probably only needed to do this because the aftermarket bezel I bought sucked but that's another story). It's much higher quality than expected, with a metal frame/casing for the detachable screen. The screen is also responsive and bright when I need it to be. My factory steering wheel controls worked without adapters or anythings. The Android Auto connects quickly and reliable without cables or wires and looks great. The company has also been responsive when I reached out for software updates and a branded UI to match my truck. My only wish is that the USB and AUX ports were on the back, so it would be easy to connect the factory outlets to them, but that's not a huge deal. I would definitely buy this radio or another from PLZ again.

This PLZ Radio was installed in my C6 Corvette to replace an mid-price Sony that was lacking Carplay. PLZ out performed in every way possible. Great sound, crystal clear screen, fit the double din space so perfectly the trim supplied trim options weren't needed. It boots up within seconds and connects to carplay within 10s. They offer custom logo and wallpapers through the service via Messenger. I had an android radio years ago and it was okay with way too many ways to mess it up. PLZ has basically built a user interface that is easy to use, hard to mess up, and operates flawlessly because "I" can't change the processing in any way. Also customer service for the wallpaper request is fast and great as well.
