Excellent pens
When it comes to most art supplies, especially pens, you get what you pay for. These are fantastic. No smudging, quick dry, and comfortable to hold. As with all fine liners, don’t press down too hard. All these need is to touch the paper and be guided by your hands. Voila! Don’t bother with the cheap versions, they are cheap for a reason! Happy drawing!!

Great set
Im a beginner and I wanted to get a set of pens that would work well but not break the bank. These are perfect. No smudging even under a watercolor wash. Love the variety of sizes and no signs of the pens drying up yet...and I've used the finer liners quite a bit!

Bad gone good !!!
I received these fineliners today….. and every single cap was off !!!!!! I was super bummed out…. But as u can see from my doodle, there was plenty of pigment—so much that it smudged !!! I tried each pen. All of them worked fine. Holding true to their claim that they won’t dry out, even if uncapped for 12 hours…. So I have no idea how all the caps were off, but it’s all good. Smooth precise ink flow.

Archival or not?
These are wonderful pens. Staedtler is a respected name. I had a set sitting in a drawer for YEARS and just recently tried them. They work perfectly! However, they used to be described differently on the cover as Pigmented Ink, Archival and Acid-free. On the back: And Permanent, Lightfast, Waterproof on paper, Photo-safe on the back. Will they work for line and wash with watercolor??????

Excellent product in terms of quality, the way the tip glides smoothly over all kinds of paper, I totally adore these. I do however feel that it is slightly lighter shade of black than Micron or Brustro technical pens.

As I’m taking a drawing class this fall the teacher insisted upon a number of different drawing tool especially permanent markers of various nib widths. For value and range this collection can’t be beaten. Strong line and ink production and the pen can be left uncapped for several hours without drying out. Finally the packaging opens up into a legged support. Great item for drawing.
