Great in the garden.
I;m not seeing this in my product list for some reason. That doesn't happen often. To the point, this is super handy in the garden. I like the fairly durable carrying kit and the selection of tools. Excellent product. Handles peppers, squash, pruning tomatoes and fruit trees. Very handy. Much easier to use than carrying around a heavy toolbox. It took some effort to find it and write the review. Good prodct. Full 5 stars. Would order again. That means I highly recommend it, if u can find it

Great little starter kit!
I used this to graft apples this year - my first grafting experience. Most of my grafts took - it was beyond what I expected given my lack of experience and some obvious mistakes on my part. The knife is helpful around the garden in general. Experiment with the tapes to find the ones that work best for your application - I went through all of them before I found the one that worked best.

A good grafting tool for beginners that could be even better
I'm new to grafting. I picked up two of the kits, one for me, and one for my brother. My brother occasionally grafts new scion wood onto his apples and pears for fun, and said the tool worked well and definitely would stop him from slicing himself again with his grafting knife, which has happened on chilly raw days. I used the grafting tool to in effect whip-graft graft a couple persimmons and twenty plum rootstocks ordered from a nursery using scion wood collected from several pluots and two gage plums. The tool works by producing nearly perfectly mirrored cuts in the rootstock and scion wood. The two pieces only fit together properly one way due to the cutting action, which makes the union quite good. The included grafting tape works great too and enough is included to make quite a large number of grafts. Now I need to wait and see how many of the 25 or so grafts I've made will take. I discovered when doing my research that plums aren't easy to whip graft. Oh well. One cautionary note: When making the cuts, the tool did occasionally crush rather than cut: this seems to be the result of the tool's position relative to the buds on the rootstock or scion wood I was using. You may not experience the problem. A half turn of the wood fixed the issue. How the tool could be improved: 1. The rotatable orange plastic "flower" that the cutter cuts into and which can be rotated to expose new surfaces is not easy to adjust--the included screwdriver is not up to the task. 2. The included instructions are minimal and appear on the box that the kit comes in. If you are new to grafting like I was, you will need more detailed instructions than the box provides. 3. The safety lock is a flimsy bit of plastic that isn't easy to use with cold fingers. A last tip: Note how the tool works before changing cutting plates. When you remove the installed plate, the alignment may shift and you will need to readjust it before a new plate can be put back in.

Everything you need for successful tree grafting
This grafting tool made grafting prunings from one tree to root stock suckers from a "dead" tree stump easy and successful. The tool makes precision matching cuts that help align and hold the graft to the host like two puzzle pieces. The kit comes with several wrapping tapes of different thicknesses and stretch. We pruned from a "Good" tree in February, harvesting scion wood which we kept sealed and refrigerated until April when we grafted them onto root suckers coming up from a "dead" tree that had been cut to a stump. The suckers were the same diameter as the scion wood. The grafts took with a decent success rate of 60%. We will ultimately keep just the most vigorous of the new grafts to shape into a replacement tree, but were impressed by how well this kit worked. Prior attempts to free hand graft resulted in much poorer results.

Decent Kit, But Shear Falls Short
The NAYE 2-in-1 Grafting Tool Kit has a good knife and useful tapes, but the grafting scissor shear is disappointing. It requires too much force to cut, even on thin branches. The blades feel dull from the start and often crush or tear instead of making clean cuts. Sharpening helps a bit, but it’s still hard work. The kit is okay for casual use, but the shear keeps it from being great.

Good
I gave a 5 star rating, but on root stock or scoinwood if it is two thick about the thickness of a straw it only cuts one side. But I think it depends on moisture in the wood. On some of them it cuts through. I rubbed my finger across the blade and my finger nail, I did not get cut and my finger nail was okay, but I think it would be another story if someone put pressure from the handle down on my finger. I have not done this yet, but I think after each cutting the blade should be wiped off to get rid of residue from each cutting. So far this has saved me a lot of time, and I'm happy I got it. I have one more thing I will try on the root stock, If it looks a little thick, I'm going to cut a short slice in the middle and then use the tool to graft it. I think by doing this it will give the tool more power. I think with any moister in the wood this will help. I will update if this helps, but for now I'm happy I have this tool, and it comes with a lot of extras.

Really Nice Quality
I am quite happy with this product. I found the knife very sharp and the cutting pliers did a nice job. I did have some trouble with the tape. It did not seem to be attracted to itself so made wrapping the graft a bit of an issue when doing field grafts. I think a rubber band would be better in that instance. I do recommend this product.

I was looking for something like that for “ages”. It is a very good tool. The only problem was. That the package came “squeezed “ , like someone was sitting on it. Everything was OK. It is not the first time, when the packages are not “in good shape”.
