3 Embers ACC7100AS Rotisserie Kit, Stainless Steel

This unit is made to fit 3 Embers brand of grills. Good materials in construction but a few design flaws reduced my rating.The spit rod comes in 5 pieces and are screwed together. However, if you put them together and turn on the motor, the spit rod unscrews itself - without any meat attached. Should have used a 'reverse' thread in the design. Next, there is not enough height of the spit rod above the grates to allow a full bird or roast to turn around. Need to remove a grate under the meat. No room to catch any juices from the meat. However, if the spit rod comes a part, the meat falls into the firebox. Lastly, there is too much deflection of the spit rod in the middle. My unit deflected 1/2" downward on a 3-4 lb chicken. Best design would be to supply a 1 solid one piece spit rod that is less likely to bend in the middle. If you buy this product, suggest you also buy some Locktite Blue Threadlock # 246 rated to 450 degrees or Locktite Blue Threadlock # 2422 rated to handle 650 degrees for the threads. NOTE: I did contact the manufacturer about these issues but they have not indicated if a repair kit would be made available to current owners.

This is a great generic rotisserie kit. Everything is stainless steel, which was a must have when my last set just rusted away. Only downside is that there's no counter balance. Without one the motor gets overly stressed and the meat doesn't cook evenly. Dropped a point for that. Otherwise, great.

Easy install for my 3 Embers 4 burner LP grill. All stainless steel, perfect rpm for cooking. Every HIGH END GRILL needs a rotisserie.One review I read stated the connecting bars came undone or unscrewed. I suggest getting 2 wrenches and tork it tight. I also read some one said the bars bent. They must have been cooking a buffalo. I place large chickens with no bending or even a sag.I am very happy.

Fits my Embers grill perfectly. Comes in separate sections. Make sure they are tight or you will get sever sagging. I found putting the food near the ends is better then in the middle. This prevents the sagging.

First, I'd like to say I have the 3 Embers grill and couldn't be happier with it, so I figured it was a "can't miss" getting the rotisserie set. The rotisserie looks like a nice set, but it is a screw together spit and the motor turns one way....the opposite direction! 3Embers chose not to include a bushing to help minimize friction, so 10 minutes after loading food and starting the rotisserie, I walk back out to the grill and the spit has unscrewed itself and my chicken is laying in the pan of water.....Ruined. I took it apart and went back to the drawing board. Instead of hand tightening the spit, I took wrenches to it and FIRMLY tightened the pieces together. Tried using it again and it only made it about 20 minutes before it was coming apart again. I had to stand in front of the grill for an hour and a half, wrenches in hand, retightening it numerous times until the food was cooked. Whichever engineer came up with this design, should move onto another profession!

I love my 3 Embers grill but I am super disappointed with the rotisserie. There is very little clearance so you have remove some of the grates to rotisserie most things. The rods are a little flimsy and bend under the weight of a 3 lb chicken or pork roast. They also don’t stay screwed in very well so I find I have to tighten them about every hour or so which is a pain. If you work with its limitations you can get the job done and have a delicious crispy on the outside, juicy in the middle hunk of meat.

Perfect complement to my 3 Embers gas grill. If you need a rotisserie for your grill this would be it. All stainless steel, will last a long time.
