Well made and way easier than soldering.
I held off using this type of barrel connector because I didn't think they looked very professional. I've always soldered my plugs that I usually use for dc power. Well, I've been using so many lately, I thought I would give these guys a try. I'm now a big fan. They are so easy to use, the connections I've made are very reliable, and they just work great. I'm still not warming up to the look of the bulgy body, BUT it does make it easier to grip and insert/remove. If you haven't tried them yet, you should. They're cheap, but well made. Use a #1 Phillips driver!

Great little connectors. I'm using them for everything that requires changing, or fixing connectors and my kid use them for a school project. All worked so far.

Perfect.
Can't beat them for the price. I needed to expand speaker distance for 2 big surround sound systems and didn't want to just add on wire. Don't like the black tape look on wire. I just got a roll of speaker wire and installed new RCA ends. Worked perfect and looks professional.

odd screw driver tip
It would be nice if they specified exactly which tip is required. It is a very small screw, designed like an electrical screw. The closest tip that my precision screwdriver set has that fits is labeled simply "2.0", the next closest is a PZ0. A slotted SL2.5 will work, but isn't ideal. I found other brands that have the same product that also do not specify what tip to use. They at least have clearer pictures showing what the screw looks like. The screw needs to be tightened well to secure the wire, using the wrong screwdriver tip makes this difficult. I wish I would have paid more for higher quality. I'll see how these hold up as I've seen reviews saying that 1 amp causes them to get warm and I need to have at least 4 amps for a couple of applications.
