Amazing
I was skeptical about buy this and I read a few reviews and thought, what the hell. SO glad I bought it. Moors is brash and arrogant and I love it. He's easily offended and calls the king names anf throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way. He forgets, or just doesn't care, that he's in a palace and storms to the king demanding and yelling and throwing fits. King Jareth finds this funny, for awhile but then gets irritated. Moors hits the king's backside on accident but Jareth, in what has to be a ninja type move, tosses Moors in his lap and spanks him like a child. Jareth finds that he enjoys it and much to the dismay of Moors, after the initail shock and embarrassment wear off, so does he. But that doesn't stop the hilarious tantrums or the wonderful spanking. It's nice to see a spanking yaoi and how the relationship comes about. Moors kills me with his self deserving attitude and his attitude toward being spanked and his arousal. I laughed, I thought it was great and I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for pt 2.

Super Short
Not sure what they were talking about when they listed this book at 152 pages. It wasn't even 20 pages long.

Teasing Story
One of the better stories from Yamila Abraham. It is a fast read as we are introduced to Jereth and Moors and the budding attraction between them. It ends on a cruel cliffhanger just as we are starting to get into it. Spanking is as far as it goes.

Such a delicate relationship
The king and alchemist's relationship is so sweet and innocent. I love the author's descriptions of detail and the characters' reactions. It is a great story that will draw you in!

Some of the absolute worst writing I have ever seen.
From the start, the book was terrible. The author is writing about topics she very obviously knows nothing about. For example, she refers to the king as both “highness” and “majesty.” Highness is a term reserved for members of the royal family who are NOT ruling monarchs themselves; majesty is the correct address for kings and queens. This is not uncommon knowledge. Additionally, the alleged protagonist of “Royal Pain” is supposedly an alchemist. He is frantically trying to work on some invention but the reason for his hurry is never explained, nor is his actual project ever detailed. The only purpose in his having a profession is for him to demand alchemy materials which the king refuses to supply, causing them to butt heads which inevitably lands them in bed together. It’s just shoddy writing from start to finish. It is clear no one edited the book. There are countless typos, grammatical errors, and even misspellings of the main character’s name. The author abuses the same phrasings repeatedly and frequently uses words that do not mean what she thinks they mean. For example, she describes her protagonist as pale and fair-skinned, but also calls him tawny. Tawny is the literal opposite of pale and fair-skinned!Yamila’s characters have no development or personality. They behave erratically. This could be forgiven if her entire purpose was to compose well-written love scenes with no actual plot, but unfortunately her writing is terrible.

A Royal Treat
As a long time reader of Yamila's work my curiosity was peeked when I had finished reading the manga yaoi series known as "Dark Prince", in this story the two main of Royal Pain are introduced. The background story of King Jereth and Moor was something that interested me and when I discovered a book had been written about them I leaped at the chance to get it. The book itself may be small but it is a good read never the less. (also comes with a free extra story at the end which ties with the "Winter Demon" series)Apart from a few contradictions tying it to Dark Prince series, I found the book was not only beautifully written but also something I could not put down. I was disappointed at how short the story was but I still enjoyed it to the max. I also found the small use of art work on the pages also invoked a bit of spice into the readers imagination. If you have not read the Dark Prince series it won't give any spoilers to away as it is a story within it's own. Worth a read, worth a buy and certainly a valuable treat to a person's collection.
