Strong feeling 14mm D-Lock at bargain price
EDIT: It's now been 7 months since I got the lock, my bike has been locked up outside in public for 8-10 hours every day out of my sight and my bike still hasn't been nicked. I'm getting back into Cycling, and having bought a bike but also living in an area with lots of bike theft, I wanted to get a strong lock. I did some research and apparently thick D-Locks/U-Locks are the safest kind of lock. This lock comes with two keys, a bike attachment to store the lock on your bike while riding it without it getting in the way and a flexible cable, this allows you to thread the cable around parts of the bike that could be detached and stolen while it's locked up, for example the wheels, this is especially important if you have quick release wheels. The metal bar of the U-Lock is about 14mm thick from my measurements and is covered in a rubber-like material to stop it from scratching your bike - something I appreciate, as I live on the seafront and if any paint is scratched off bike it practically instantly rusts. The mechanism is easy to lock and unlock, it requires no force on the key or the bar to detach. My only complaint is that the D-Lock could be a little larger, as sometimes you have to get the bike very close to the place you want to lock it for it to properly get around. However this could also be seen as an advantage, as it makes it more difficult for thieves to get tools around the D lock -- Apparently car jacks are often used to break apart strong D locks nowadays by pushing against the bar until it snaps, a small bar means it's harder to fit a jack under the lock. This lock may not be as strong as the £35+ Kryptonite branded locks, however there's a saying that you don't need the best bike lock in the world, just that your bike needs to look better locked up than the bike next to yours! Overall I'm pretty happy with the quality and price of this lock. Only time will tell if it is good enough to deter thieves!

Very Good
I recently purchased a bike U-lock, and it's been a fantastic addition to my cycling gear. This U-lock is a true testament to security and durability. It's incredibly sturdy and fits my bike frame and a stationary object with ease. What stands out is the peace of mind it provides. I no longer worry about leaving my bike unattended because I know this U-lock has got it covered. It's also resistant to tampering, and the double-locking mechanism adds an extra layer of protection. If you're a cyclist in need of a reliable and robust bike lock, this U-lock is an excellent choice. It's a dependable way to safeguard your bike, and I'm extremely satisfied with its performance. Highly recommended for bike security!

Look at the mounting bracket first?
I liked the lock for the price! It's nice and small for my 11 yrs old sons bike. But the problem was fitting it to a child's medium size bike? When I tried to fit the lock? Because the lock bracket is off set from the frame attachment? It's impossible to fit the lock to the bike without it getting in the way of my sons pedal stroke,or to close to the rear wheel and spokes. I just assumed the lock was inline with the mounting bracket and not at a right angle to the mounting bracket. So I'll have to check the photos better next time. My son will have to put the lock in his backpack.

Solid and Reliable after a years daily use
discrete heavy duty lock, 12 months later still working same as day one and still have the same bike after day and night use around London pro's, heavy duty, compact, rubber casing won't scratch bike and is neutral to touch in winter, small size menas lift and twist attacks deterred, and it doesn't scream expensive bike unlike some colourful alternative cons, won't go round lamp posts or traffic signs cos it's compact but then again that's its strength

Lock had to be cut off bike by locksmith
The worst purchase I’ve ever made through Amazon. Dinoka is a Chinese brand apparently. The U Lock was delivered on 10/5/24. It was used for the first time on 13/5/24 to chain the bike up to a cycle rack in Durham City. And when attempting to remove the lock, the mechanism apparently jammed and I had to arrange for a mobile locksmith to come out to me and cut the Dinoka U Lock off the bike - at a cost of £109. I took a video of the locksmith first trying to remove the U Lock unsuccessfully with the key before eventually having to use his electric saw to cut the U Lock off. The whole experience was financially costly and extremely stressful as it initially seemed that no locksmith would be able to reach me until the following day. I have reported the issue to Amazon who are refunding the full cost of the U Lock back to me, which is the minimum which is to be expected under the circumstances. And I now have to request the manufacturer’s details from the seller to pursue a compensation claim for the locksmith charges. But as Dinoka is based in China, it appears doubtful that any joy will come from that. I would avoid buying this product as U Locks / D Locks are very temperamental and you need to be sure you are buying a quality product. Saving money on a cheap purchase could lead to more expense later, as it did for me.

Good lock but might be unreliable.
I got this lock because I had a smaller frame bike and wanted a thicker lock. The lock fits well onto the bike (as you can see in the picture) without hindering any movement. It is also able to lock the frame to a standard sized pole (other picture) with the use of the cord around the front wheel if desired. Additionally, the key fits in easily and there is no “stickiness” to the shackle. The only problem I have is with the shackle not fitting into the crossbar well. It makes a sound when the shackle is moved (shown in the video). This can be a bit annoying when going over bumps and it takes away some of the confidence I have in the lock. May seem a little unreliable but I can’t be too sure yet. I will edit this post if I notice any other problems with the lock in time. So far it is doing its jobs well.

Very sturdy - but check the size!
I really like this lock, it feels really solid and good quality and I'd be comfortable using it as my day to day lock in the city. The only thing to watch out on is the size. THe D-lock's not big enough to go aound my frame and front wheel - so check your measurements before purchasing. That's my bad not the D-lock's though, so 5 stars from me
