I've had other booms and they are usually larger. This is a compact one, with each of the two segments about 1 foot long. It does what it's supposed to do, holding the microphone or other object in mid-air where you set it. The covers for your cables are a nice touch.

I have gotten quite a few of these microphone boom arms trying to find I've that will work well with my desk setup. While this one won't be my go to boom arm as it doesn't fit my specific space, it is a quality product. Most of the "cheap" arms I've gotten have been flimsy, and easily bent, broken, or are just plain difficult to position without bending them in way they weren't meant to be. This one just does what it's supposed to do. Definitely recommend.
