Baldur's Gate 2 II - Shadows Of Amn & Throne of Bhaal Double Pack (PC DVD)

A long and very fun game (or rather 2 games that feels like one). Some frustrating encounters with enemies you don't know how to beat, and I had find the information on the Internet. But overall it's brilliant with the best spells for mages ever made.

Good fun game and glad I took a chance and bought it, genuine in genuine box. Have ordered from them before and would order again, and would certainly recommend to a friend.

This game is awesome. That point has already been made plenty of times. Just a point I would like to make, when I got the box-set from Amazon, the labeling on the discs was wrong. Shadows of Amn was labeled Throne of Bhaal and vice versa. Is this just a problem I experienced?

As a long-time player of the original BG and BGII I was looking forward to this "enhanced" edition. The game play is all I had remembered and so much better than recent D&D games. However... Once I worked out that the Throne of Bhaal disk was actually the Shadows of Amn and vice versa, on installation it asked me to register but then wouldn't let me complete the registration - then it asked me each time I booted the game up. Once I got into the game, saved many times and had reached the marketplace area, the game only offered me an installation option! I re-installed, went back to square one and began all over again. Suddenly, my old saves reappeared, so I continued. Surprise - the next time I put the disk in the PC I only had the Install option again. I am giving it one more try before I bin the game in frustration. Don't buy this unless you want to continually back-up and restore your position.

It's as good as that Clint Eastwood movie where he hangs out with a big orange monkey and gets into fights with all sorts. It's nails.

I played this game quite a few years ago but it kept crashing. Eventually I put it down and decided a year or so ago to have another bash with a different copy. Don't worry if you are horrified with the graphics when you first start playing it, that is quite normal. When you get over the initial shock, then you get used to it and the gameplay really shines through. I thought that the playability and versatility of this game is amazing and for all of those AD&D fans out there, this is a great game. Sadly, it was never followed up and there has never quite been a game like it that I have found anyway!

One of the great computer rpg's of all time. Lots to do. All different kinds of characters you can be. Great story. There are some bugs so I give it a 4 instead of a five. But they do not detract from the fun to be had if you enjoy a great rpg.

Das Originalspiel funktioniert recht gut, die Erweiterung (Throne of Bhaal) ist (im Gegensatz zum Original, welches bei der gleichen Lieferung dabei war) nur auf englisch und läuft derzeit noch gar nicht! :-(
