Nice unit, good terminal connections
For a small solar array, this is a good unit, terminals are great for connections, Easy to program, chargers battery's just like they need to be charged.

Solid performer
Used for the better part of a year on a daily basis in our camper with 600 watts of pv, charges computers, tablets, phones, a small swamp cooler, 12 volt chest cooler, 42 inch tv and small soundbar a few hours a night, 4 low voltage lamps, a coffee grinder, a mid size fan running all night in the bedroom, and occasionally an 800 watt hair dryer. I've messed up the wiring between panels and controllers more often than I should and left it out in gentle rain several times. Just keeps going... wouldn' hesitate to recommend to others. Hope yours works as well.

Just as good as the real thing but dubious support
Decision is whether Renogy is worth the 25% premium. Support with RS is a mixed bag. They answered most of my questions, but not articulately, and their app is -- or at least WAS -- suspect. The not-included BT-1 reliably connects to the evidently new phone app called SRNE, which appears to work well unlike the old one bashed in other reviews -- indeed it sukdbalz. Unless your controlled is tucked away and not readily accessible, the app is handy but not essential since most functions are available directly on the controller. Functionally and quality-wise the RS & Ren are shockingly similar -- I don't know who's protecting whose intellectual property but some lawyer deserved to get fired. If you're a noob and can afford the extra 30 USD, Ren is probably the way to go. That said, I'm a noob and don't regret my purchase -- I spent the 30 on a massage. I would advise you research your requirements before you buy. I got more controller than I need for the sake of dubiously-valuable future-proofing. The price of this stuff drops over time, so buy just what you need and grow into what you might.

So far, so good
I got this to charge control my 450w panel array and Litime mini. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, day in, day out. I use it as part of my lighting system for my outbuildings, along with an inverter. There is enough power available to run a slow cooker for hours and not pull the battery down at all. It also runs my table saw without bogging down. Would buy again should I decide to expand my solar capability.

Lot more efficient than old style controller it replaced...
Still topping up my batteries in n. alaska where sun angle is fast dropping (Oct.). I like the seperate terminals for my 12v led off grid lights and being able to cut that power flow by pushing a button on unit. Quality is good.

Poor quality and company did not honor the warranty.
My set-up is a small solar system for my RV that gets a few weeks of use in the summertime. I liked that after replacing the first faulty unit (within the 30-day return window), the second unit worked for a short time until it also failed. I contacted the company after the second unit failed, and I got the run-around for 4 days. When I finally reach the support guy (which took me two days), I was initially helped and then I was ghosted. I was first told that the problem was a low charge state on my battery (it was reading 13.4 volts at that time and is now 13.6 - controller is still dead). Then, I was asked to send in pictures of a voltmeter battery reading, another of the dead Controller attached to the battery, and another with the Controller after connecting the solar panel where came alive and showed an E15 error code. That was the last of my help from customer support. For two days after submitting the photos, I called repeatedly to get a status and each time was routed to the tech support person's voicemail or told by the person answering the phone that he would get back to me. I was told that he would get back to me "shortly", in a 1/2 hour, before he leaves for the day, etc. I was even told this on a day in which he had left hours earlier. The last time I called, I was told that he would call me back first thing the next morning. No call was received. Slimy people, slimy company. They are not honoring their warranty. I will never do business this company ever again and would caution anyone against dealing with them. Fortunately, when I explained the steps I had taken and that the company was not honoring their warranty, Amazon allowed me to send this device to them even though it was well beyond the 30 return window. I had to eat part of the cost, but I was happy to send it back and never have to deal with this company again. I recommend to anyone that they spend the extra money and get a quality product. Two faulty controllers from Rich Solar and extremely poor customer support; what's not to love.
