Life changing!🤗
I love this! It only took about two years of battling severe foot drop in my left foot and slight foot drop in my right, after lumbar surgery #2. I had never even heard of this simple, yet effective, device! Until . . . A physical therapist I recently consulted with suggested giving this a try. With his simple explanation of its intended purpose . . . I couldn't open my Amazon account fast enough! I decided to start with my left, being the worst. After receiving, fitting, and taking just a few steps . . . My "slight" foot drop on my right was highlighted! Sooo . . Off to Amazon to order it's mate! I honestly feel bionic and free to walk without fear of public gymnastics due to the toe of my shoe dragging, causing my tripping, falling, and . . . I highly recommend trying this if you struggle with foot drop problems! I haven't experienced any problems with fit or comfort, at all! I would think any minor irritation could be simply resolved with the strategic placement of gauze. Imho, that would be an easy trade for an amazingly helpful, simple, reasonably priced . . . Bionic Feet! Im so excited to experience walking confidently again! After years of struggle, doctors, surgeons, and "specialists" . . . I couldn't be more greatful to my very knowledgeable, well educated, focused, specialist, who first informed me of this life changing invention! . . My Physical Therapist! All of the education in the world is useless when not applied! If for some reason this does not help your foot drop it's a simple return. My life has changed . . . For less than $100!😁

Very comfortable and great support.
Because of the paralysis I have in my foot and ankle, it’s a little difficult to get on but other than that, it wonderful. Very good quality , no sharp edges, very comfortable pad on the top fastener Its so perfectly fit you don’t even know you’re wearing it. It’s improved my walking and balance. The support on the back of the leg is strong yet very light. The size is perfect and the straps are easy to apply. No adjustment to size was required and most importantly, once in the shoe under the insole, you can not even feel it. It does not slide around and is comfortable when walking.

This one trick saved the day!
THE trick to using and getting the right support from this product is: PUT IT IN YOUR SHOE FIRST! I don’t know if the video I first watched showed a man putting on the brace and slipping into the shoe or I ASSumed that, but I spent quite a few attempts over a couple of weeks to do it that way. Could never maneuver my foot the right way. Started the return and the brace sat in my car for a couple of weeks. Then one night He showed me to put the brace in first. Next morning the brace came out of the car and slipped into the shoe easily, and then my foot did too! Perfect timing bc we were leaving in a few days to go on a trip with grandkids. My foot drop catch went from a couple times a day to twice in the whole week. And now I really have the hang of it. The confidence and stability it gave me made our trip even more wonderful 🥰

Wonderful time
I bought these for my brother who had spinal stenosis years ago and has a dragging left foot. The first time you put em on, I could see a difference. It took about a week for him to get acclimated to em, and his walking has improved tremendously, and the pain level is 0 now why he walks. Would recommend this because it was recommended to me

Drop foot solution
It is a bit difficult to put your shoe on but it does take care of the drop foot problem. At least enough to walk close to normal. Less chance of falling for sure.

be sure to place your shoe insert or orthotic on top of the AFO.
I needed this for persistent ankle pain 8 months after total ankle replacement. My doctor ordered a custom carbon fiber AFO through a posthetist, but that is taking a long time to get, so I decided to try this despite all the negative reviews. I received it a few hours ago and had no trouble putting it in place (no trimming needed since I use size 14 shoe) and have experienced immediate relief for the first time in months. For those who have posted that it is uncomfortable or that the plastic part of the AFO causes pain or blisters, I wonder if they are inserting it on top of instead of below the insert or orthotic. You need to remove the insert or orthotic from of your shoe, insert the AFO into the shoe, then place the shoe insert or orthotic between the AFO and foot. Your foot should be in contact with the shoe insert or custom orthotic, not in contact with the AFO plastic

I suffer with foot drop caused by spinal problems, I have a light blue NHS brace, I bought this black one because I prefer the colour especially when wearing shorts. But interestingly enough it is quite a bit shorter and I actually find it much more comfortable Than the NHS one, I have large calves and even after heating and bending it it still pinched and rubbed a bit. Because this one is shorter it goes under my calf muscle so doesn't hurt at all The heel is also more comfortable and I don't need the pad a have to use with the other. Surprisingly it gives as much support to my foot as the higher one, I was a bit worried at first The only down side is the lower strap got in the way, I always wear boots not shoes, so I removed it by drilling the metal fixing. It's much easier to put the brace in the boot then put my foot in. This would not be a problem with shoes.

Bought them to replace older AFOs and they are amazing! Good heel to toe walking with them strong but still comfortable. Bought left and right, soft straps and feels way more secure than just the Velcro style strapping that wears out. Easy to fit into any shoe may have to cut to size if you have smaller feet

I have foot-drop in both feet and have for many years been wearing the ankle brace support type with the Velco strapping to assist my walking and to prevent my feet from drooping and tripping etc., but I found them to make my ankles swell and become tired and sore. So I decided to purchase a right and left AFO S-Type, to see if I could walk more efficiently and normally. I recently did a 3 mile walk around London and found both to be very comfortable indeed. The upper leg Velcro strap has soft comfortable padding, which did not chafe my legs. The fit and the effectiveness was perfect for me - I found that I could walk quite normally without tripping, and I could walk faster with no more pain in my ankles, and I have started to learn to run again ! These are very good value for money, are an excellent and comfortable support and I shall be wearing them from now on - I wished that I had acquired these much earlier. Don't forget to remove the insole from your shoe and place on top of the AFO sole. I have found my legs again!
