These are good high quality razors that stay sharp for more than a few uses

I bought these to replace my Dollar Shave Club (DSC) executive blade subscription ($10 for 4 stainless steel, 6-blade cartridges a month) with the price increase on DSC. This was definitely the cheaper option, but I realize it was more comparable to the DSC 4X blades (I have used both executive and the 4x from DSC). The BIC Flex 4 was still cheaper by $2 compared to the DSC 4X blades. Overall, I find the blades to be more suitable for trimming my sideburns and mustache. The aloe stripe is not as smoothing compared to my DSC executive blades and doesn't feel like it cuts deep and clean like the DSC executive blades. I would say this is more like a 4X alternative. It used to be cheaper going on a DSC plan, but the BIC Flex 4 is just as good with a cheaper price. The DSC 4X is $7 while the BIC Flex 4 is $5. You get a new razor handle each time you purchase the product unlike other places which gives you replaceable blades. I really do wish BIC allowed use to just go buy cartridges as this would be more environmentally friendly and less wasteful just trashing a perfectly fine razor handle. Pro: Affordable, Comparable to the DSC 4X, Trustable global brand, Good for a good trim Cons: Cartridges are not sold separately from the handle, aloe strip was not as smoothing, good for 3-4 light uses or 1-2 heavy use.

My husband requested these, and he’s had no complaints at all. He likes them just fine and says they work well. What really surprised me is that even after he’s used them several times, I’ve been able to use them on my legs and they still work great. That says a lot about how long they last. Overall, these have held up well and do exactly what they’re supposed to do.
