Very little gripping power
I have a 2020 Toyota Prius Prime and do my own oil changes. Even though I am very careful to tighten the filter by hand and not overtighten, it is still difficult to loosen it mainly due to its position. I use a Fram XG4967 filter. This wrench is too deep and will not grip the end of the filter where the flats are. I did manage to cock the wrench to get a little bite and got about 1/10 of a turn just enough to allow me to hand loosen the rest of the way. I am keeping the wrench because without it I would have no other way to loosen the filter and the quality is decent. I may try and adapt it for the next oil change.
