These are nice. The connector on the other end opposite to the USB-C connector is a JST-PH 2.0 connector.

This worked for what I needed, fixing a white noise machine with a bad USB cord to be something I can plug a USB-C charging cable into. I'm leaving off one star, as this doesn't work consistently with USB-C to USB-C cables and it required me to buy a USB-A to USB-C cable for it.

This USB-C female connector snaps tightly into a standard ABS project box. The socket won't pull out or rotate. No other fastener is needed: the product photos make the body look threaded, but it's just textured. The connector has a slim profile on the outside of the box/panel. Note that only +5V and GND are wired, D1 and D2 are absent, so this is for power only, not for data.

I chose these because they require only a circular drill hole to mount (rather than finding a way to cut a square or an oval.) The wire is probably just 26 AWG, but that will still allow more than 2A of current without compromising charging,
